Back at the beginning of 2018, I was going through one of the biggest life changes of my life. I felt lost, stuck, and honestly wasn’t sure what was next. Like always, music was my saving grace.
A few friends and I found a $20 concert a couple hours away and decided, “Why not?” So we piled in a vehicle, hit the road,
and spent the drive listening to Cody Johnson’s Black and White Label album among a few others that are his biggest hits.
At the time, Cody wasn’t selling out arenas. He was still grinding, still chasing the dream, still showing up.
Looking back now, it’s wild to think about how much can change when you refuse to quit.
So if you’re an artist wondering if anyone is listening, if the late nights, long drives, and hard work are worth it, KEEP GOING.
And if you’re just someone trying to make it through a hard season, keep going too.
You never know where you’ll be eight years or hell even a year from now. Plus thank god I got better camera skills now 😂
