Google Pics coming to Google Workspace users:

Dear administrator,

We’re writing to inform you that Google Pics, a new AI-powered image creation and editing application, will soon be included as a core service in your qualifying Google Workspace subscriptions.

We’ve provided additional information below to guide you through this change.

What this means for your organization
As early as August 18, 2026, Google Pics will begin rolling out to users within your organization who hold the following Google Workspace subscriptions:

Google Workspace Business Standard
Google Workspace Business Plus
Google Workspace Enterprise Standard
Google Workspace Enterprise Plus
Google Workspace AI Expanded Access
Google AI Pro for Education
Key changes
Here are some of the key changes for users accessing Google Pics with the above mentioned Google Workspace subscriptions:

Core service coverage: Google Pics will fall under your existing Google Workspace agreement and will receive the same technical support as other Google Workspace Services.
Generative AI access: Usage of generative AI features in Google Pics is subject to usage limits. At least through February 28, 2027, your users will have higher access to generative AI features in Google Pics. Access to these generative AI features may be limited afterward. We’ll notify you of any changes before they take effect.
Workspace integration: Google Pics will also become accessible via other Workspace surfaces (such as in Google Slides) in the future. You can subscribe to the Workspace Updates Blog for the latest updates as we add Google Pics to additional surfaces.
What you need to do
Action advised before August 18, 2026:
We'll enable access to Google Pics by default. You can manage access to Google Pics depending on your organization's needs:

To allow access: If you want eligible users to have access to Google Pics, no action is required from you. Google Pics will roll out to users automatically as soon as August 18, 2026.
To disable access: If you want to disable Google Pics, you can do so for the whole organization, or for specific users or groups. Complete the following steps:
Go to the Google Admin console
Navigate to Apps > Google Workspace > Drive and Docs > Google Pics
Uncheck the setting
Click Save
