After 25 years Metro Coupons closed up shop in May 2025.
Rufus Powell, founder, owner & operator leaves behind a legacy of providing a valuable source of advertising for the areas locally owned & ran businesses. Rufus believed that advertising should be simple, straight to the point and affordable. So, in the year 2000 he created Metro Coupons & gave all businesses an affordable and effective way to advertise their services and good. The people of the Joplin metro area loved the coupon books and loved him. He was known to many as "the Coupon Man"
This is not the end of his story though..
Rufus provides yet another valuable service to people and their loved ones by offering
pre need arrangements through Ozark Memorial Park Crematory & Cemetery in Joplin.
His phone number hasn't changed in over 25 years! Give him a call. He is as kind and tuned into people's needs as he always has been.
