Long time no post! I’ve been working hard on consulting a salon owner on a complete rebrand. Sometimes you don’t know how things are going to evolve and you just have to roll with it. I started out thinking I would be coaching hair stylists, then I realized I do enjoy that but I fit more into the category of consultant and can work my coaching skills into what I’m doing.

I have had an opportunity to work with of KCMO! Victoria has been so willing to take my direction and get into action. We have made INSANE progress in 3 months. The grand re-opening is set for July and the interior of the salon has done a complete 180 while still staying true to the brand. I made them a new website pictured above, have created leads on new stylists and reached out to existing stylists to see what they want to make their work environment ideal.

I’ve been coaching a shop owner through a full rebrand, hiring new staff, and planning a grand reopening and this keeps coming up. Don’t chase after something that isn’t falling into place. The universe is telling you to move forward fearlessly when things fall into place. Take head!! The message is clear. Have you ever thought to yourself, man I wish I could make extra money but aren’t sure how you would go about it? What if I told you that extra money is sitting right in front of you? It’s not about being slimy and upwelling your guests for unnecessary services. This is about meeting their needs, offering new services they weren’t aware you had, and giving them solutions for their challenges with their hair.

Recently I’ve started a new routine of sitting with my morning coffee and planning out my day behind the chair. Seeing opportunities for growth and tracking income. Since doing this I have seen an instant 20% increase in gross income!!

In the days before social media, business cards and word of mouth were our main forms of advertising. Now we have all of these tools via social media that make it easier. But where do I start? What do I say?My page will never look like theirs. They have so many followers!

Hey there! Thought I’d introduce myself to new followers!
My name is Bridie and I have been a hairstylist for nearly a decade and a booth rental stylist for 5 years. I started out hustling HARD. Worked as late as I needed to, came in on my day off, worked well past scheduled hours, you know the drill.
As I’ve moved along in my career I realized there is a huge lack of support for booth rental stylists. We are on our own which can be great but it’s hard to remain accountable to our schedules and setting firm boundaries with clients.
It’s easy for us to feel burnt out, stressed out, and slowly lose passion for what we do. I have created a 12 week booth rental reboot program to do a deep dive into your schedule, how much you’re charging, social media, branding, website help, mindset work, and general support.
At the end of the 12 weeks you will have your ideal schedule, see your ideal client showing up in your chair, and have time to enjoy your life which actually makes you better at your job!

Sure we can’t all afford to go on a trip regularly but the effect of taking time off to do something enjoyable can make us better at our job!

We all work hard but some of us push ourselves too much for weeks, months, and years on end. We think it makes us more successful but it’s a guarantee we will experience burn out.

Apart of being good at taking care of our clients is learning to truly care for ourselves. I’m a classic workaholic and used to work myself to the bone and wore it as a
Badge of honor. The truth is it made me miserable.

Now I work my ideal schedule, take trips, make the income I need to live and thrive, and feel fulfilled in my every day life but I’m working less! DM me if you relate and want to experience true work/life balance.

The effect of a creative outlet on productivity and over all happiness is monumental. Before I started painting again, I felt like all I did was eat, sleep, work, rinse, repeat.

Painting is something I can create that doesn’t have to be evaluated by anyone else. It’s completely and totally mine. It’s important as service providers to have a full range of ways to practice self care. Getting a facial, creating art, going to have a lunch by ourselves, exercise, sleeping in etc.

All that matters is that you identify what makes you feel free and do it as much as possible. It helps us return to work feeling like a whole person, not just a shell of a person who is living to work.

We’ve all had weeks like this. We work more hours to make more money and at the end of the week we are depleted, exhausted, and burnt out. We look at how much we made and it still doesn’t feel like enough for how worn out we are.
