FIVE things a service based business website absolutely NEEDS in order to CONVERT 💻

✨ YOUR BRAND STATEMENT
As soon as they arrive to your site, you only have a few seconds to tell them that they are in the right place. This needs to be the first thing that they see when they land on your website! (My name is [first name] and I [what you do] for [who you do it for] who [what they struggle with] so that [solution to that problem])

✨ CLEAR CALL TO ACTIONS
These are buttons that take your visitors throughout your website to all the places that you want them to go. This is a VERY important step in the conversion process. Most people will not act without a little push!

✨ HIGH QUALITY IMAGES
I can't say it enough. People today CARE about appearance. I suggest investing in branding photography ( is great if you are in the Houston area) so that you have professional pictures of your face, flatlays, products, etc to use on your site. If this isn't in your budget though, there are several places to buy affordable but really good stock photography or mock ups from ( and .studio ) are my favorite!

✨ SUMMARY OF SERVICES
You should not only mention your services on your services page. Post a short summary of each service on your home page (and maybe even your about page) with your call to action button to navigate them to the services page where they can find more information and details!

✨ A WAY TO CONTINUE NURTURING THEM
This can be an email list, social media, facebook community group, etc. Offer another way that they can continue to connect with you and gain free value from you.

The most common mistake I see when it comes to websites, is that people use it only to showcase how great their business is and why they are better than everyone else. 🖥

Though you should definitely talk about what makes you unique, you need to focus more on the needs of your audience than your own achievements. ⚠️

Your target audience needs to be able to RELATE to you before they work with you... but they can’t do that if:

〰️ They don’t feel like you understand them.
〰️ They can’t picture a person on the other end, but rather a robotic perfectionist.
〰️ They see you as way too entitled and unintentional!

My advice to you:
〰️ Identify your ideal client’s pain points and show them a glimpse of how you can transform them!
〰️ Make your about page VERY personal and vulnerable! Feel free to throw in a little bit of humor if you’d like as well!

I was hoping that when April came, it would leave all of this pandemic behind...

I have been looking forward to this new month thinking that things would be different and hoping that everything would go back to normal. Unfortunately, that’s not the case and it’s time to be realistic. 😐

This pandemic isn’t something that can just be solved over night. It’s time that we all start accepting that it’s happening and there really isn’t much we can do about it. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m not saying to stop washing your hands and social distancing. Please continue to do that. I’m just saying that we need to stop worrying. 🥵

I know that it is easier said than done, but it’s true. This whole situation is terrible. I’m not going to sugar coat it. But, we need to find the positives, because in the end, worrying so much is just going to make us suffer twice as much as we need to. 💯

For example, I’m grateful that I own my own online business and I don’t have to worry about being out of work. Although business has been slow, because my ideal clients are small business owners who have temporarily closed, I’m STILL open. That is definitely something to be positive about. ✨

I’m also grateful for the time that I’ve been given to work more on my own business and less on clients’, as well as time to work on myself. Self improvement is something that we kind of shove to the side most days. We don’t prioritize it like we should, but luckily, now we all have the time to! 💕

Branding is so much more than just a logo. It is so easy for people to go on google images, illegally download a clip art, find a pretty font, and write their business name under the image (When you can’t say amen say ouch 🤕).
