There’s something pretty exciting about driving down the road and seeing a logo you created up on the sign for everyone to see.

To some people, it’s just a logo.

But when you’re the one who created it, it’s so much more than that. It’s pride. It’s knowing another business owner trusted you with a piece of their business, their vision, and their brand, and you were able to create exactly what they had in mind.

I drove past Katy Dink & Drive today and saw their sign up, and I definitely had one of those ā€œHey! I made that!ā€ moments. ā¤ļø

This is one of my favorite parts of what I do at Horse Before the Cart Marketing. Watching something go from an idea and a conversation to an actual brand out in the real world never gets old.

Thank you, Katy Dink & Drive, for trusting me to be a small part of what you’re building. I absolutely LOVE seeing this sign up! šŸ“

Another BIG launch from Horse Before the Cart Marketing! šŸ’»šŸ”„

Last week, we officially launched the new website for Katy Dink & Drive, opening this October in Katy, Texas!

First, we created their new logo and brand identity. Then it was time to take that energy online and build a website that actually feels like the experience they’re creating.

Because Katy Dink & Drive isn’t just pickleball.

šŸ“ Pickleball
šŸŽļø Go-karts
⛳ Mini golf
šŸŗ B**r & w**e bar

We wanted someone to land on this website and immediately think, ā€œOkay, I need to check this place out.ā€

Bold. Energetic. Easy to navigate. And completely built around the Katy Dink & Drive brand.

PLAY. DRIVE. HANG OUT.

This is one of our favorite parts of what we do at Horse Before the Cart Marketing: taking a business from an idea, to a logo, to a full brand, to a website that is ready to start bringing that business to life.

And now the website is LIVE!

KatyDinkAndDrive.com

Now we just have to wait for those doors to open in October. šŸ‘€

Another one finished this week at Horse Before the Cart Marketing, and this one needed some ENERGY. ⚔

Meet the new logo for Katy Dink & Drive!

This isn’t just another pickleball court coming to Katy. They’re bringing pickleball, a bar, mini golf AND go-karts together in one place.

So a quiet, traditional logo? Absolutely not. šŸ˜‚

The brand needed to feel fast, fun, competitive and energetic before you even knew what the business was.

We went bold with the typography, brought in that electric green and deep navy, added movement throughout the design, and worked the pickleball right into the logo.

The goal was to create something that could eventually look just as good on a huge sign as it does on a T-shirt, hat, social media page or drink cup.

We think this one understood the assignment. šŸ”„

Katy Dink & Drive is coming soon to Katy, Texas, and we’re excited to watch this brand come to life.

So... how did we do on this one?

This one needed to match the work. šŸŽ„

This week at Horse Before the Cart Marketing, we finished a complete website transformation for Limelight Films.

Ken has spent decades producing professional video for corporations, healthcare systems, energy companies, universities, and major organizations. The problem? His old website simply didn’t show the caliber of work he was actually producing.

So we changed that.

The new Limelight Films website is bold, professional, modern, and built around what matters most: Ken’s work, his experience, and the companies that already trust him.

We didn’t want someone landing on his website and thinking, ā€œThis is a video guy.ā€

We wanted them thinking:

ā€œThis is the company we want producing our next project.ā€

That’s what a business website should do. Your website should make your business look every bit as good online as the work you deliver in real life.

Take a look at the transformation:

And if your work has outgrown your website, it might be time for yours to catch up.

Another project we wrapped up this week at Horse Before the Cart Marketing: a refreshed logo for LMS Floral Designs. šŸ’

A logo is more than something you put at the top of a website. It sets the tone for your entire brand.

For LMS Floral Designs, we wanted the new look to reflect what Lisa actually creates: elegant, thoughtful floral design for weddings and life’s most meaningful moments.

The finished logo brings together the soft floral elements, sophisticated color palette, and polished feel that now carries throughout the entire LMS brand, from the logo to the new website.

That’s the difference between simply designing a logo and building a brand that feels connected.

One cohesive look āœ”ļø

Your business changes and grows. Sometimes your branding needs to catch up.

This week at Horse Before the Cart Marketing, we wrapped up a brand-new website for LMS Floral Designs! šŸ’

Lisa’s work is beautiful, elegant, and incredibly visual, so her website needed to do more than simply look pretty. It needed to showcase her floral designs, clearly explain her services, help potential clients find her through search, and make it easy for someone to take that next step and inquire.

The new site puts weddings front and center, while also highlighting LMS Floral Designs’ sympathy and corporate floral services throughout the Greater Houston area.

And most importantly, it feels like her brand.

✨ Clean, elevated design
✨ Mobile-friendly layout
✨ Clear calls to action
✨ Wedding-focused messaging
✨ Local SEO strategy built into the site
✨ Portfolio designed to let the work speak for itself

If your current website isn’t representing where your business is today, Horse Before the Cart Marketing can help you change that. 🐓

Would you rather rank #1 on Google… or go viral?

Most people would say…

ā€œI want my next video to go viral!ā€

I get it. Going viral is exciting.

But here’s the problem…

Virality is temporary.

Google rankings can bring qualified customers to your business every single day.

One viral video might get you 100,000 views.

But if those viewers aren’t your ideal customers, did it really grow your business?

Now imagine showing up at the top of Google every time someone searches for exactly what you sell.

Those aren’t just views.

They’re people already looking for your service.

Don’t get me wrong. Viral content has its place.

But I’d rather have a steady stream of customers than a temporary spike in attention.

Marketing isn’t about becoming internet famous.

It’s about becoming the obvious choice when someone needs what you offer.

That’s exactly what we’ll cover in my upcoming SEO Masterclass. I’ll show you why long-term visibility often beats short-term attention and how to build a marketing strategy that keeps working long after you hit ā€œpublish.ā€

šŸ‘‡ So what’s your answer?

Google Rankings or Going Viral?

Tell me which one you’d choose and why.

DIY your marketing… or hire an agency?

This question comes up all the time.

And my answer surprises people.

It depends.

If you’re willing to learn, stay consistent, and put in the time, you can absolutely market your own business.

But if you don’t understand the fundamentals, you can also waste thousands of dollars chasing the latest trends, boosting the wrong posts, or paying for services you don’t actually need.

Hiring an agency isn’t a magic solution either.

The best agency in the world can’t communicate what makes your business unique if you don’t know it yourself.

Whether you do your own marketing or hire someone else…

You should understand enough to ask the right questions, measure results, and know if your investment is actually paying off.

That’s one of the biggest reasons I’m launching these Marketing Masterclasses.

My goal isn’t to convince you to hire an agency.

My goal is to help you become an educated business owner who understands marketing well enough to make smart decisions—whether you do it yourself or hire a professional.

šŸ‘‡ So what’s your choice?

DIY your marketing or hire an agency?

And if you chose an agency, what would you expect them to actually deliver? Let’s talk about it.

AI isn’t replacing businesses.

Businesses that know how to use AI are replacing those that don’t.

Here’s the mistake I see every day…

Some business owners refuse to use AI because they think it’s ā€œcheating.ā€

Others let AI do everything, and their marketing starts sounding exactly like everyone else’s.

Both approaches are wrong.

AI should never replace your experience.

It should make your experience more valuable.

Use it to brainstorm ideas.
Use it to organize your thoughts.
Use it to speed up content creation.
Use it to automate repetitive tasks.

But don’t let it replace your personality, your stories, or your expertise.

People don’t buy from AI.

They buy from people they trust.

That’s exactly what we’ll cover in my AI for Business Masterclass. You’ll learn how to use AI as a competitive advantage while keeping your brand authentic and recognizable.

šŸ‘‡ I want to hear your opinion…

Do you think AI is making businesses better or more generic? Tell me why in the comments.

Would you rather have more leads… or more sales?

It sounds like an easy answer.

Most business owners immediately say…

ā€œMore leads.ā€

But what if I told you the fastest way to grow your business might not be getting more leads at all?

If you’re already getting calls, website visitors, or quote requests, the bigger opportunity may be improving what happens after someone reaches out.

Do you answer the phone every time?

How quickly do you respond?

Do you follow up more than once?

Is your website building trust?

Do you ask for the sale?

Marketing doesn’t end when a lead comes in.

That’s where sales begin.

Too many businesses spend thousands of dollars trying to generate more leads while ignoring the opportunities they already have.

Before you spend another dollar on marketing, ask yourself:

Am I maximizing the leads I already have?

That’s exactly what we’ll break down in one of my upcoming Marketing Masterclasses. You’ll learn how marketing and sales work together to increase revenue without always increasing your marketing budget.

šŸ‘‡ What’s your answer?

More leads or more sales?

Tell me why in the comments.
