Kent Student Ambassadors

Kent Student Ambassadors The Kent Student Ambassadors are a group of student leaders that seek to promote the importance of philanthropy at Kent State.

They do this by providing philanthropy education to students as well as hosting and participating in community service events. The Kent Student Ambassadors, also known as KSA, are a group of student leaders that represent many facets of the campus and community. As ambassadors, students represent the university and the student body, as well as promote the Alumni Association. Ambassadors take great

pride in Kent State University and strive to show this as they provide assistance for events across campus and serve as student representatives when welcoming and hosting honored guests and distinguished members of Kent State University.

Here comes our April recap! April was a month of engagement, collaboration, and celebration for our community. Here’s a look back at what we accomplished together:

To start, at the Student Leadership Awards, we recognized the outstanding contributions of our student leaders and won the Community Impact of the Year Award! 🥇 Next, the TAG Day Prep Meeting focused on working behind the scenes to prepare for a successful campus event—TAG Day—where we filmed a mockumentary. Check it out in an earlier Instagram post if you haven’t yet! Later, a well-deserved treat was enjoyed at the Ice Cream Hangout, which created space for conversation and bonding. The following day, TAG Day took place! It was full of energy, involvement, and school spirit. With dozens of students participating, we recognized our donors and educated the campus about philanthropy. A final way to celebrate our personal KSA achievements and milestones across the organization was the Recognition Ceremony. Finally, we wrapped up our last KSA meeting with a fun-filled scavenger hunt. Stay tuned for photos from this exciting experience!

The semester is off to an incredible start! Here’s a look at what we’ve been up during January and February:

First off, we kicked off the year by attending the MLK Luncheon, honoring Dr. King’s legacy and reflecting on service, leadership, and community impact.

We participated in the PSA Resource Fair and connected with students and campus partners to share opportunities and resources.

Our ambassadors also volunteered with Kent Social Services, giving back locally and supporting families in need.

For a little team bonding, we hosted Board and Bevy, bringing everyone together for connection and community outside of regular meetings.

At our Super Service Event, members showed up in a big way to serve and make a positive difference. With the help of students and in collaboration with Gift of Life, Nurses of Faith Fellowship, INTS Development Group, and ALD, we completed over 250 pieces of projects dedicated for different local communities!

We’re proud to recognize Madi Blanchong as our January Ambassador of the Month for her dedication and leadership, and Landon Crisler as our February Ambassador of the Month for going above and beyond this semester. 🎉

We also held our Welcome Back Meeting and an interactive Escape Room meeting, focusing on collaboration, communication, and team building.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed their time, energy, and passion so far. We’re excited for what the rest of the semester holds!
