Happy Birthday, For Pause! Our company, started in the midst of the pandemic, officially turned "one" today and we're celebrating an impactful first year!

We're thrilled to have spent a majority of our first year helping non-profits in the local community with development/fundraising efforts and numerous virtual events! We've helped raise over $300,000 for such non-profits and are excited for upcoming events!

Whether you're a non-profit looking for development support - or a business looking to give back in the local community, For Pause is here to help!

Spring is here! And hopefully to stay!

As we start a new season, and new quarter of the year, it's the perfect time to kickstart a new corporate community engagement initiative! As the weather warms, the number of outdoor volunteer opportunities are ever increasing. An outdoor volunteer activity is the perfect way to get together as a team in a safe way. We have a number of local non-profits with outdoor needs - the perfect way for you to get involved in your local community while staying socially distanced!

Let's start planning!

A note from our Founder, Hannah:

A few weeks ago, as I was cleaning up around the house I had some time to truly think about events I've attended and planned in the past and what makes an event successful. (Obviously successful is a term that is deeply individual and specific to business goals and ideals but I think the terms I settled on are applicable in the majority of events.) 3 words popped into my head and I quickly jotted them down as a note on my phone and resumed my day. It wasn't until a few weeks later that I opened that note and took some time to deep dive into each word and try to understand why exactly these 3 E's are so integral to successful events.

On our blog, you'll find a new post explaining these 3 E's of Events and how to implement them into your event planning process. Excitement, engagement and exclusivity are such important pieces of successful events and we, at For Pause, are well poised to help you plan your next event with these ideals in mind.

While you're over at www.forpause.us, be sure to subscribe to our email list! In the next few weeks, subscribers will have access to exclusive content on how to implement the 3 E's of Events in your next event!

A few weeks ago, I jotted down a note in my phone with the following 3 words: Engagement, Exclusivity and Excitement. At that moment in time, I hadn't quite hashed out exactly what I thought those 3 words meant or how ap...

Behind the scenes of a virtual gala consists of multiple devices, numerous headphones, video chats, streams and all of the technology. What you see as the viewer is simply a polished, hybrid (partially live and pre-recorded) virtual event. For Pause handles all of the behind the scenes- broadcasting a smooth flowing event that is enjoyable to view!

For tips on how to produce a successful live event, whether pre-recorded or totally live, be sure to sign up for our mailing list (www.forpause.us and scroll down to Subscribe!). Our first free resource on live events will be sent out early next week. You won't want to miss it!

If you're a non-profit hoping to produce virtual events for the start of 2021, we'd love to chat. For Pause is equipped to handle everything from virtual watch kits to live streams, pre-recorded segments and driving viewer interaction. We're here to help your virtual event be successful!

For Pause has gotten to work with some of the most incredible non-profit clients since our inception in August.

We started working with Pals For Life a few months ago, working together to plan their virtual dinner to celebrate 35 years of amazing work in our community! Pals for Life brings pets to those who need them and lucky for us, a lot of work involved meeting some of these wonderful pets!

For Pause filmed a number of segments prior to the live event and produced the entire virtual dinner. With a Zoom happy hour, followed by a hour long presentation with a live host, the event was a success and showed all who watched the wonderful things PFL does in our community!

Be sure to check out their page, website or visit them at Braxton's (If you're local!) on the weekends - where they sell their homemade masks to fundraise for their organization.

Thank you Paula and Kristen for the wonderful opportunity to work together!

New! New!

For Pause has introduced a new initiative to multiply our impact in the local community. For every community engagement consultation call scheduled between now and November 20, For Pause will donate $10 to a local non-profit on Giving Tuesday! Our goal is to give at least $100, which means scheduling just 10 calls!

Work for a company who would be interested or have a friend who may be? Visit www.forpause.us/contact-us to schedule a call today.

Together, let's take a pause for a cause.

As seen with the recent layoffs of 28,000 workers at Disney, COVID-19 is still greatly impacting companies around the country and world - even companies that seem untouchable like Disney. This leaves a large number of workers without jobs and many, were simply part time workers (67% of those laid off).

Many of us have seen our loved ones lose their job because of the pandemic or we ourselves have felt the repercussions. The massive layoffs and furloughs due to the pandemic have food banks and other non-profits struggling to keep up.

As we approach the holiday season, families will be (or already are!) struggling to put food on the table - let alone presents for their children and loved ones. You can help.

For Pause will take your interests and match them with a non-profit in the local community. We'll work together to develop a community engagement plan that fits your budget, wants and needs - all while meeting the needs of a local non-profit.

You can have an impact in the local community this holiday season!
