For 18 months, I did not advertise.
I didn’t post
I didn’t market myself.

Yet…work still came in through recurring clients and referrals.

That experience confirmed 3 life-changing truths for me:
1. Where you place your energy matters.
I’ve been a virtual assistant since 2007. Every client served, every late night, every solved problem, every positive interaction continued working for me long after I stopped promoting because energy compounds. The seeds you plant today can feed you years later.
2. Relationships are currency.
Being in the right rooms does have a positive effect. Networking is about building genuine relationships with people who will speak your name in rooms you’re not in. One trusted recommendation can open doors no advertisement ever could.
3. Faith + excellence + persistence changes your mindset.
There are 2 parables - 2Kings 4: 1-4 & Luke 18:1-8 remind me to follow-through when I receive direction and keep going. I stopped asking myself, “Will this work?” and started declaring, “It is working. It will work.” That shift changed everything.
