Covenant Health of East Tennessee has welcomed a 9-year-old brain cancer survivor as its youngest ambassador for the Covenant Health Proton Center Ambassador Program.

At age 7, Walter “Wally” Davis was diagnosed with aggressive medulloblastoma after a tumor was found on his brain. After undergoing both proton and chemotherapy treatment, Wally is in remission and is focused on uplifting others who are navigating a similar journey.

Covenant Health’s Peninsula Hospital recently delivered children’s activity kits to emergency departments in Knoxville, Lenior City and Sevierville. The deliveries took place during September, which is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month.

The kits created by clinical staff are designed to offer comfort, distraction and emotional support for children who may be waiting for medical treatment, behavioral health evaluation, transfer or placement.

Wishing a very happy birthday to Gino Peterson, MoxCar’s web developer! 🎂🎉 Gino builds and launches websites, manages ad campaigns, maintains site security and functionality, solves technical and complicated issues and so much more for our clients and team. We’re so grateful to have him on the MoxCar team!

Our office celebrated Gino with lots of banana pudding🍌😋 from Brown Bag. In honor of his birthday, we’re donating $100 to the Nature Conservancy. Gino hopes to help keep our planet healthy and thriving and wants to do his part🌍

Ella Kate Vinson is one of only 110 Gold Award Girl Scouts across the nation to receive a national Gold Award Scholarship. Ella Kate has been a Girl Scout since the first grade and completed a Gold Award project to ensure access to clothing for the Pond Gap community. She held a clothing drive and created the first annual Pond Gap Clothing Closet and Wellness Fair.

Thanks to WATE 6 On Your Side Living East Tennessee for shining a light on her efforts and what’s next for the Girl Scout as she heads to college.
