Mexican rock powerhouse The Warning has released their crushing new single, "Ego," out now via Lava/Republic Records. Sung entirely in their native Spanish, the confrontational track lands as one of the heaviest offerings to date from the Villarreal sisters—Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra. The song ignites with a punchy electric guitar intro and razor-sharp riffs, building relentless momentum before being pushed into overdrive by Paulina’s visceral screams. Lyrically, the trio channels defiance into empowerment, taking direct aim at projection, outside criticism, and ego-driven negativity. The high-intensity official music video made its massive broadcast premiere across MTV Live, mtvU, and the iconic Paramount Times Square billboards. "This music video is all about reclaiming your power, embracing confidence, and standing tall in your identity… even when the world is watching," the band shared.
"Ego" arrives hot on the heels of their incendiary anthem "Kerosene," further showcasing the sharp songwriting that has pushed the band's career streams past the 650 million mark following their 2024 breakthrough album, Keep Me Fed. The new music caps off an explosive period for the trio, who recently earned a Latin Grammy nomination for "Qué Más Quieres" and celebrated a massive 30,000-cap hometown triumph with their recent Live From Auditorio Nacional, CDMX concert film. The sisters are currently in the middle of a massive 2026 global takeover; having already hit Lollapalooza festivals across South America, The Warning is preparing to traverse Europe and join forces with Yungblud on the international "Idols" world tour across the U.K. and U.S., which includes a highly anticipated headlining performance at New York City's Pier 17 on June 11th.
