• In the Context of 2020 this is probably the most exciting sporting event we’ve seen and will see in many months. So for your enjoyment, here’s a list of Tigers that by some miracle could all end up donning the black and gold next season. The Saints haven’t taken an LSU player in the first 3 rounds in years, but fortunately this year is loaded with LSU talent. In order to get an All LSU draft class on the Saints wild trades and dramatic moves will have to be made, but crazier things have happened, so let’s take a look.
• If it was up to us we’d trade every pick for the next three years to save Joe Burrow from the Bengals, but I’m not sure Sean Peyton would agree.
• Justin Jefferson - Somehow Jefferson falls to us in the late first round, and we’re able to scoop up the talented young man from Destrehan who would merge perfectly into the Saints offense and alongside their elite receiving corps.
•Patrick Queen - It may be unlikely for Queen to fall into the 2nd round, but what if? New Orleans trades for Seattle’s 35th in exchange for a 2021 first rounder and a 2020 4th. Queen slides right into the lineup pairing with Demario Davis.
•Clyde The MF Glide Edwards-Helaire - Clyde’s draft stock has been rising rapidly, but the RB position has become devalued, and what if he fell to the 3rd round? In this situation the saints swap picks with the Redskins and throw in another late round pick, to steal Helaire with the 66th pick. Clyde would merge well into the Saints offense and would give Payton another tool to make it even more deadly.
•Thaddeus Moss - The Saints are able to land pick number 121 from Oakland for the 169th pick and a future pick. By landing Moss we’re able to get a powerful blocking end that learned to catch from Randy freaking Moss. The Saints solidify a position of need at the moment and for the down the line.
