“She didn’t just earn a degree… she became everything she once had to fight to believe she could be.” 🎓✨

Nae. 💛
From the McNeese Golden Belles to walking fully in her purpose… this one right here means something to me.

If you know Nae, you know she’s always been strong, opinionated, and unapologetically herself. One of my strongest dancers—but whew… a ticking time bomb too 😂. But what I respect the most is that she was always open to growth… And that right there will take you further than anything else.

How we started isn’t how we ended and that’s apart of our story… That’s growth, That’s maturity, And I’ve watched her step into every version of herself with resilience.

While in her earlier years, she became a mother… and still didn’t fold…. She pushed. She persevered. She showed up. It got to the point where I was like bring my baby to practice we gone be alright!

The most beautiful things in life aren’t things at all — they’re the moments we get to keep forever.”

Last year for Father’s Day, Zaria scheduled a special session for her husband, and these photos came out so beautiful. Moments like this remind me why family photos matter so much.

As time passes, these images become more than just pictures. They become a timeline of love, growth, and memories. One day you look back and realize that what once felt like an ordinary moment has become one of your most prized keepsakes.

This family was an absolute joy to photograph, and little man definitely stole the show. I always tell parents to let kids just be themselves during sessions… and baby, he had the best time being exactly who he is. Those are the moments that make photos truly special.

“Time has a beautiful way of reminding us just how far love can grow.”

This shoot was extra special for me. Years ago, I took Amari’s newborn photos. Her mom Tiffany and I were actually pregnant at the same time and had our babies just a week apart. We lived right across the street from each other, so we became pregnancy partners during that journey; navigating motherhood together one step at a time.

Fast forward to last year, Amari celebrated her 12th birthday. Watching her grow into such an amazing young lady has been a blessing. She’s incredibly smart, a super talented dancer, and she carries a light that truly shines wherever she goes.

Moments like these remind me why I love what I do getting to watch families grow and capturing pieces of their story along the way.

I hope 12 has been treating you well, Amari. Keep shining.

Most dreams in sports don’t start in arenas… they start on playground courts.”

Watching athletes grow is always special, and Lailah was truly a joy to work with during the 2025 grad season. Her love for the game shines through in everything she does.

Basketball girls are usually known for being in sneakers, gym shorts, and on the court so seeing Lailah step into her element, dressed up, confident, and still representing the sport she loves was so much fun to capture.

She was beautiful, poised, polite, and incredibly well-mannered. Her parents have done an amazing job raising such a bright young woman. I’ve been watching her grow for a while now, and she truly has a beautiful spirit and a shining light about her.

I know she’s had a great freshman year in college, and I’m excited to see all the great things she will continue to accomplish in the future.

“Breaking News: New Chapters & New Levels”

One of the wildest parts of getting older is realizing that the students you once taught are growing up too.

I’ve known Shalannah since she was a little girl in the dance room. She was always a beast.. focused, passionate, and giving her all. Watching her grow into the strong, beautiful, and dedicated woman she is today has been special to witness.

When we took these photos in 2025, it was a full-circle moment for me. I also met her boyfriend Keymony, and the way he loved and supported her during this session was beautiful to see. It’s always refreshing to see young couples building something meaningful together.

Shalannah, I’m so proud of the woman you’ve become. Coach Lay loves you.

Congratulations to you and Keymony on this beautiful journey. Y’all have been killing it & baby boy is sooooo handsome!
