For the last eight years, Realtour Pilot was built with a camera in my hands.
Walking away from filming full time wasn’t easy. I love creating, and I always will.
But over the last year, I realized I was trying to live in two completely different roles at once. One moment I needed to be a filmmaker focused on storytelling and creativity, and the next I needed to be a business owner building systems, improving the client experience, hiring, training, and planning for the future.
Eventually, I realized I couldn’t give 100% to both.
So instead of trying to do everything myself, we’re building a team.
Our creatives train daily. Reviewing films, studying storytelling, challenging each other, and constantly raising the standard. They get to focus fully on becoming exceptional filmmakers, without being pulled in every direction like I was.
That gives me space to focus on the business: improving systems, communication, turnaround times, and the overall client experience we’ve built our reputation on.
I think every growing business reaches this point.
Whether you’re a real estate agent building a team, a photographer hiring your first shooter, or any entrepreneur scaling a business, growth eventually requires letting go of what you do best so you can build something even better.
I’m not stepping away from quality… I’m investing in the people and systems that will protect it for years to come.
