You sit down with every intention to work and still end up doomscrolling for hours. I know that feeling, staring at the screen, trying to force yourself to do the thing, and your brain just says no. Then comes the guilt, the thinking that someone's going to notice you're falling behind. But it's not that you don't care, and you're not broken. The real problem is you're trying to get motivated at the wrong time. Your brain naturally dips in the afternoon, so you're fighting your own biology. Here's the fix that actually worked for me: move your hardest task to the morning, when your head is clearest. Then when the afternoon hits, you've already done the big thing. If anyone says anything, you can point to that and say it's done. The rest of the day is easy work, and no one can call you lazy when you've been working all day. If this hit home, send it to a friend who's been too hard on themselves about the same 3 PM crash. And follow for the next episode, because you did enough for today.
