Grabbed a McDonald's Happy Meal during one of those tough family hospital waiting-room days... and out came CAP CAP, that iconic red-hat robot guy, staring back at me like an old friend.
But honestly? The real magic is in the art direction of this new Changeables line (the long-awaited revival of the 1987–1990 classics). Those airbrushed gradients, bold retro fonts, the analog commercial vibes—it's like McDonald's bottled early '80s/early '90s nostalgia and turned it into tiny transforming food-to-robot/dino masterpieces. In a world of digital everything, these feel impossible to recreate today. Pure time-machine material.

I expected faster progress, but the penciling stage often slows things down. You have to get the shapes and forms exactly right, which can double—or even triple—the time needed to complete the final piece. When the forms work well, the extra effort is absolutely worth it. When they don't, you're just wasting time.
