I was just a happy-go-lucky, nearly 400 pound dork with a very large beard when I first became Fat Beard, but these past 9 years have changed me—Having a heart attack in 2016 changed me. I shaved my beard and tried losing weight in 2017, but then my hip gave out on me. In December of that year I had the gastric sleeve and by January of 2019, I had lost enough weight to finally have the hip replacement surgery. Today, I'm still below 200 pounds and I'm still shaving, but I'll always be a dork. I am happy to announce that I am Fat Beard no more: I am The Dork Knight and Fat Beard Studios is now Dork Knight Designs & Marketing.
