This Women’s History Month, Let’s Back the Women Building Our Future As CEO of The Periwinkle Group and a business leader rooted in Nevada, I’ve had a front-row seat to the power of women in business. Every day, women are building companies, creating jobs, and investing back into their communities—often without recognition, but always with impact.

Across the U.S., women own more than 14 million businesses, generating nearly $3 trillion in revenue. We are not just participating in the economy—we are helping power it.

Yet, many women still face barriers to growth, including limited access to capital, smaller networks, and fewer opportunities to scale. This is not a gap in capability—it’s a gap in access.

Women-led businesses don’t just drive revenue—they strengthen communities. We hire locally, mentor intentionally, and reinvest where we live. When women succeed, the impact multiplies.

This Women’s History Month, let’s move beyond celebration and into action—expanding access, increasing opportunity, and removing barriers that no longer serve us.

Because women aren’t just part of the story—we are writing the future of our economy.
