Formula 1 isn’t leaving Las Vegas anytime soon 🏎️🌴

Clark County has approved permits that allow Formula 1 operations on the Las Vegas Strip through 2037 — giving the race a long runway in the city for years ahead.

That does NOT mean Formula 1 is permanently guaranteed in Las Vegas, but it does create the ability for the event to continue operating long-term if agreements remain in place.

Since launching on the Strip, Formula 1 has become one of Las Vegas’ biggest global events — bringing international visitors, major hotel demand, global media attention, and millions of viewers watching the city worldwide.

But opinions remain split.

Some say F1 has elevated Las Vegas into a world-class sports destination.

Others point to road closures, local disruptions, and rising costs and question whether the economic impact reaches everyday locals.

Either way… Formula 1 looks positioned to remain part of the Las Vegas conversation for years to come.

Love it or hate it — are you okay with F1 staying in Vegas through 2037?

Downtown Las Vegas is leaning all the way into its mob-era history 👀

Plaza Hotel & Casino and The Mob Museum just launched a new “Wiseguy Getaway” package that includes:
• A minimum 2-night stay at the Plaza
• 2 tickets to The Mob Museum
• An appetizer during happy hour at Oscar’s Steakhouse
• An autographed photo from former Las Vegas mayor and mob attorney Oscar Goodman

Oscar’s Steakhouse inside the Plaza was even featured in the movie Casino and still keeps the old Vegas mob theme alive with menu items inspired by famous mob figures.

The package is available for stays through Dec. 28, 2026, with rates starting around $91 a night before taxes.

Meanwhile around Vegas 👀

• Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is doing “Cabanas for a Cause,” where select $99 pool cabana rentals this summer will benefit local nonprofits including the Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada, and HELP of Southern Nevada.

• The LINQ Promenade just unveiled a massive new 130-foot LED marquee on the Strip designed to bring in over 4 million weekly impressions.

• A gaming analyst is projecting up to $3.3 billion could be wagered on next month’s World Cup tournament as sports betting continues exploding across the U.S.

Vegas really stays in its own lane when it comes to entertainment, tourism, and gambling culture 🎰

EDC Las Vegas is officially becoming a TWO-WEEKEND festival in 2027 😳⚡️

Insomniac just announced the new “by concept — turning EDC into a 12-day Las Vegas takeover with TWO separate festival weekends at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

🌅 EDC Dusk: May 14–16, 2027
🌄 EDC Dawn: May 21–23, 2027

According to Insomniac, both weekends are planned to have:
✔️ Lower capacity crowds
✔️ More room at stages
✔️ Easier hotel & travel accommodations
✔️ The SAME production quality and lineup experience

They also confirmed:
🏕️ Camp EDC returns both weekends
🏨 Hotels will support both weekends
🎟️ Layaway plans start at just $5 down

One weekend passes start at:
GA $399 • GA+ $499 • VIP $899

Two-weekend “Dusk Till Dawn” passes:
GA $599 • GA+ $899 • VIP $1,699

Insomniac says they want to reduce congestion across hotels, flights, roads, and festival grounds while turning Vegas into a nonstop immersive EDC citywide experience for nearly two weeks straight.

Vegas really said “what if EDC never ended” 😵‍💫⚡️

Would you do one or both weekends?

Looks like Las Vegas is officially heading into the unofficial start of summer. With Memorial Day weekend bringing a surge of visitors, drivers should expect heavier traffic across the valley, especially around the Strip, airport corridors, major resort areas, and interstate routes heading into Nevada.

According to travel projections, Memorial Day is once again one of the busiest travel weekends of the year, and Las Vegas is expected to feel the impact with packed freeways, longer wait times, and congestion peaking during afternoon and evening hours.

Areas likely to see the biggest slowdowns include:

* Interstate 15 near the Resort Corridor
* Harry Reid International Airport traffic zones
* Las Vegas Boulevard near major casinos and pool parties
* California-to-Vegas routes as road trippers pour into the city
* Event-heavy areas with pool parties, concerts, and holiday weekend nightlife

AAA previously projected record-high holiday travel numbers nationwide, with millions choosing road trips over flights — something Las Vegas typically feels hard during major weekends.

If you’re heading out this weekend:

* Leave earlier than usual
* Expect rideshare surge pricing
* Watch for late-night Strip congestion
* Give yourself extra time if you’re heading to the airport or casinos

Heart Attack Grill closing feels like another piece of old Fremont nostalgia disappearing.

For a lot of people, it wasn’t even about actually eating there — it was the curiosity of walking past it on Fremont. The giant weight scale outside, the nurse costumes, people in hospital gowns, and tourists stopping to watch someone attempt those massive burgers.

Back in the early 2010s, Heart Attack Grill became a viral TV attraction after being featured on Food Network and travel shows for its wild concept centered around over-the-top cholesterol-loaded indulgence. They even became known for publicly “punishing” customers who couldn’t finish their food.

Now after 15 years downtown, the restaurant officially shut down, with ownership blaming rising costs and the changing culture of Las Vegas.

At this point… is Vegas slowly losing the weird, iconic attractions that gave the city personality? 👀

Because whether you loved it or thought it was ridiculous, Heart Attack Grill was one of those spots people instantly recognized when walking through Fremont.

Shopping lineup at the Las Vegas North Premium Outlets keeps growing 👀

The outlet mall just announced 9 new storefronts coming to the property — including first-to-market concepts, fashion brands, western wear, and more retail expansion throughout 2026.

Already opened:
• BYLT — the brand’s first-ever outlet location
• Tommy Bahama
• Victoria’s Secret PINK
• Gymboree

Coming soon:
• Victoria’s Secret opening in late May next to Vuori
• Reyn Spooner opening its first Nevada location in June
• Lucchese Bootmaker opening its first standalone Vegas location in July
• Foot Locker coming later in 2026
• Birkenstock also joining the lineup with sandals, shoes, and more

Looks like the outlets are pushing hard to bring more exclusive concepts and major retail names to the area as shopping traffic in Las Vegas continues to grow.

WOULD YOU BUY KETCHUP SLICES

I’m not gonna lie… The only slices I wanna see on my burger cheese

I hope no one really makes this happen . I’d imagine you would Add some gelatin or thickener to ketchup, and you got ketchup singles sitting next to the American cheese 💀

Luckily the viral “Hellmann’s Ketchup Slices” going around online aren’t real. It’s basically an internet joke that people started reposting thinking it was an actual product launch.

But after seeing how viral it got… I already know some company somewhere is probably considering it now and that’s the scary part 😂

The pastrami hype in Las Vegas is so big that The Hat is now cutting off lines early because of overwhelming demand. 👀🥪

The popular Southern California sandwich shop announced it will stop accepting guests in both the drive-thru and walk-up line at midnight due to long wait times and nonstop crowds. The restaurant’s regular posted hours are 10AM–1AM Monday through Saturday, but the late-night rush has reportedly become too much to handle.

The Hat officially opened its first-ever Las Vegas location after years of anticipation from locals and former Californians. Plans for a Vegas location originally surfaced back in 2019, but the project was delayed before finally moving forward in 2025. Since opening, social media hype and massive lines have continued daily.

Known for its famous pastrami dip sandwiches, The Hat also serves pastrami burgers, chili cheese fries, hot sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, and more. The original restaurant first opened in 1951 in Alhambra, California, and now has multiple Southern California locations — with Las Vegas becoming the brand’s first expansion outside California.
