Some info recently given to a fitness coach to help improve target audience, something quick but I thought I'd share!
The number 1 key to any social media is to (A: Gain user audience and B: Maintain attention)
Your focus is to stay fit and stay healthy.
So what get's in the way for people to accomplish both (WILL or SKILL) WILL issues can in some cases be excuses for some people you can never remove these barriers, for some you can. WILL usually becomes a time or motivation factor. SKILL is education and routine.
Help people overcome WILL issues, they may not necessarily become your paying client, but it could be as something as easy as while making dinner for the family I can cook right through your SKILL education and take the first step to staying fit and staying healthy. Through this education they will refer their friends and family to your audience. A referral through social media not always be a direct conversation but could be targeted through a like, comment or share.
Share SKILL through status and ideas that are targeted to staying fit and staying healthy such as recipes, eating tips etc. NOT towards advertisements. Your time to sell your service is when you meet/talk to someone 1 on 1, when you focus on advertisements you target a single user, that user has the option to say yes or no. When you target a lifestyle regardless of will or skill you have a better grasp on your audience. Users will become more involved and remove will issues or share with people they know to share YOUR skill issues.
