It’s your job as a leader to overcommunicate your goals and think about the future of your business.

Understand you are a parent, not a babysitter. Let people in your company do their thing. Don’t micromanage. Simply explain what you need done, then watch & support your employees.

Make people feel safe around you as the person in charge. Safety helps create speed in business because the entire machine moves faster when employees are focused on executing rather than thinking how to navigate a situation.

One of the most important lessons for any boss is that you work for your employees, they don’t work for you. You have to be constantly adapting to the needs and wants from the organization in order to keep the culture in tact.

To have a winner’s mentality, you have to stop caring what other people think. You’ve gotta get quiet in your own head.

So many people make big life decisions based on other people’s opinions. You care so much about what your mom, dad, brother, or friends think that you’re allowing them to dictate your actions in life.

At the core of it, the barriers so many people have aren’t really about “money” or “time.” They’re about opinions.

It’s the biggest reason so many people are unhappy right now. Because they value someone else’s opinion more than their own.

Once you get past that, life can get real good.

Social media is truly a science as much as it is an art. The study of the human society and human behavior is extremely relevant in today’s marketing.

If you can understand how humans work and use that to your advantage when it comes to social media marketing you will have such an advantage.

There are eight psychology lessons related to social media that all marketers should know:

1. People share content to relate to other people.

2. People trust their peers.

3. Majority of people are visual learners.

4. Color is key when establishing your brand.

5. Positive content gets shared more often.

6. A customer’s personal experience helps assign greater value to your product.

7. If you scratch their back, your customers will scratch yours.

8. People don’t want to miss out.
