🔵 INFO | According to the report published by the institution on September 3, 2026, the figures show that more than one out of every five 🇭🇹 Haitians living in the United States 🇺🇸 has a “Bachelor’s Degree,” what we refer to as a bachelor’s degree or university-level degree in Haitian Creole.
According to this report, which covers 2024 only and uses data from the American Community Survey (ACS) of the U.S. Census Bureau, among approximately 510,000 employed Haitian immigrants, 22% work in the healthcare sector.
During this research, the Migration Policy Institute (MPI) noted that Haitians are represented across nearly every major sector of the U.S. economy. For example, some work as registered nurses (4%), healthcare support workers (7%), and home health and personal care workers (4%), just to name a few.
The information was shared by David J. Bier, an immigration policy analyst, to highlight the educational achievements and economic contributions of Haitian immigrants in the United States.
