Most service pages fail for the same reasons. Too much about the process, not enough about the outcome. No clear next step. Copy that sounds like every other service provider out there. None of that is unfixable.

Spend a day touching up your service page this week.

You know the feeling.

You get asked for your website and you pause and send your Instagram link.

Don't ignore that. That is a red flag. You and your business have grown, your website hasn't.

Check out the rest of the 5 signs and if you're feeling any of them, let me help you out!

Quick, without checking, do you know your website backup works?

Bonus Points if you know where to find a copy of that backup.

More Bonus Points if you've tested that backup!

A lot of times we just trust that things are happening behind the scenes and it's not until we're in the fire that we find out something (important!) hasn't been working properly.

If you haven't tested your backup in the past few months, what are you waiting for?! And if someone else manages your website, send this to them!

Open an incognito window and load your site. Time it. If it takes more than 3 seconds, you have a speed problem.

Now pop over to Google PageSpeed Insights and run a quick test. It'll show you exactly what's slowing it down. Start there.

Hint: it's usually your images.

Most WordPress site owners don't know what's actually running under the hood.

Plugins. Backups. Security. Speed.

Ignoring it doesn't make it go away, it just means it gets worse quietly. The WordPress Wellness Guide walks you through all of it for $17.

It took me 18 months to rebrand my own business.

I've been designing websites for 20+ years. You'd think I'd knock this out in one long weekend.

What i learned: it wasn't about design, it was about clarity.

I couldn't see myself the way I see clients. Every decision felt more personal than just what looked good on screen.

If you've been struggling with your own branding, making tiny tweaks, it's ok. You're just too close. Instead of spending never ending months on it, reach out!

The blog has the whole story, including a walk down memory lane showcasing my "logos" over the years.

Sounds like Squarespace emails went out today with a hefty price increase.

You are not stuck.

Moving a Squarespace site to WordPress solves that problem. Your pages, your blog posts, your images, it can all move with you.

Instead of asking can you switch, ask yourself how long you want to keep paying an ever-increasing rent for a website you don't own.

Stop doing the math. Drop me a DM and I'll tell you what a move would involve. No pitch, no pressure, just answers.

Your site didn't stop needing attention after launch.

Plugins go outdated. Security gaps open. Things break in the background while you're focused on your actual work.

A care plan handles all of it for $25/mo.

When was the last time you checked your website on your phone?

Not a screenshot. On your actual phone, scrolling through it like a visitor would.

More than half of your visitors are on mobile. And most websites that look great on desktop have at least one thing that's broken, cramped, or just plain weird on a small screen.

Text that's too small. Buttons that are hard to tap. Images that are cut off or stretched.

Pull up your site right now. Check your homepage, your services page, your contact form.

If something looks off, that's your next fix - not a new font, not a new color palette.

Mobile experience is a ranking factor AND a trust factor. Both matter.

If your email opt-in says "sign up for updates and news" - that's why it's not converting.

Nobody wants updates. Nobody wakes up thinking "I really hope someone sends me a newsletter today."

They want something specific. Something useful. Something that solves a problem they have right now.

"Get my free checklist" converts. "Join my weekly tips for solopreneurs" converts. "Download the free guide" converts.

The difference between an opt-in that sits there ignored and one that actually builds your list is almost always the offer. Make it specific. Make it valuable. Make it obvious what they're getting.
