😄 A conference takes months to put together.

Organizers plan every detail. Speakers work on their talks.
Sponsors prepare their booths. Guests book flights, hotels, meetings…
Everyone comes prepared. Anthony comes prepared too. Just… differently. 😂

We’re always happy to bring a little extra energy, make people laugh, and add a few dance moves along the way. 🕺💃
SEO is serious enough already. Conferences don’t have to be. 💙

👀 Should we keep sending him to conferences? 😄

Everyone wants to create a new category. Sometimes the smarter move is to find the part of an existing one that nobody is serving well. 👀

Salesforce is a great example.

They didn't invent CRM. They entered an established market at the lower end, where the dominant player wasn't really competing. Their pitch was easy to understand: you could get CRM without needing an IT department to manage the software. 🎯

That gave them a place to start. And from there, they worked their way up until Salesforce eventually became the company dominating the category.

It's a good reminder that being different doesn't always require inventing something people have never heard of. Sometimes there's more room in a familiar category than it seems. 💡

April Dunford shared a few great examples of this in our latest Adsy Talks, along with why creating a category from scratch can be much harder than companies expect. 🎙️

🎙️ New Adsy Talks episode is live!

This time, Anthony sat down with April Dunford, one of the biggest names in B2B positioning, author of Obviously Awesome and Sales Pitch, and advisor to 300+ tech companies.

And they had a lot to talk about:

🎯 Who your real competitors actually are
🧩 Why creating a new category can make things harder
💬 Value vs. objection handling in sales
🤖 Where AI can actually help with positioning
👥 Why knowing your customer matters even more now
📣 What happens when you scale visibility with a weak story

April put it pretty simply: weak positioning + more distribution means you're basically taking a bad story and “yelling it louder.”

🦉 Adsy’s 2026 SEO Conference Recap
6 conferences, multiple countries, and way too many good conversations to fit into one post.
So here’s the short version 👇

Coffee, SEO, and a little Matrix energy.
We spent the day talking search and the night dodging bad backlinks like Neo. 🕶️

🏎️ Ahrefs Evolve, Singapore
AI search was moving fast, so we went full Fast & Furious.
Good talks, racing-themed cocktails, and plenty of new faces along the way.

🏖️ CroatiaSEO Summit
Serious SEO conversations with a much better view.
We brought the Baywatch vibes, ice cream, and a Blue Lagoon or two. 🛟

⚡ The MasterMinders, Manchester
Practical SEO, AI search, and ideas you could actually take home and use.
Plus a full-size DeLorean. Hard to compete with that. 🚗

🇪🇪 SEO Estonia
Three packed days in Tallinn with workshops, conversations, interviews, and our own Adsy Bond moment. 🕶️

🗽 MozCon, New York
One final stop for this round. More SEO people, more ideas, more conversations - and a pretty great way to wrap it all up.
That was round one. 🧳

Eddie is already packing for round two.
Where should we show up next? 👀

Okay, SEOs. Bad news: Google is gone. 😬

No warning, no recovery. Just gone.

So… where are you getting traffic tomorrow?

We asked Anni Ma, Greg Gifford, Karl Kangur, Kristina Frunze , and Kyle Roof the exact same question at SEO Estonia, and apparently there’s no emergency meeting where SEOs agree on a backup plan. 😂

Five people who know search inside out. We put their answers side by side in the carousel. Swipe through and pick your survival plan. 👉

And a big thank you to Anni, Greg, Karl, Kristina, and Kyle for playing along with Anthony’s slightly evil question 😄 And, of course, to the whole SEO Estonia team for bringing all these brilliant people together and letting us steal a few minutes of their time. 💙

Now your turn:

Google disappears tomorrow. Where are YOU getting traffic from?

08/27/2026

Seeing organic traffic drop is never a nice feeling 😅

But fewer clicks don't always mean fewer potential customers.
Some people were only coming to your site for a quick answer and leaving right after. Now they can get that answer directly from Google or an AI Overview.

Meanwhile, someone actually considering your product might spend time checking ChatGPT, Reddit, reviews, and other sources before they ever visit your site. 🔎

So traffic alone tells us less than it used to. Where people find you, what they learn about you, and whether they trust you across that whole journey matter too. 🤖

Belinda Conde talks about this shift in our latest Adsy Talks episode, including what marketers can do as zero-click search keeps growing. 🎙️

☺️ Good SEO can bring people to your site. But once they get there, you still need to give them a reason to trust you.

That trust builds over time through useful content, mentions on relevant websites, PR, and simply showing up in the right places often enough for people to remember your name.
SEO works much better when it isn't doing all the heavy lifting alone.

That's the idea behind Adsy. We help brands distribute their content across relevant websites and build a stronger presence beyond their own pages. 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

🦉 See how it works for you: https://bit.ly/4wP9L6A

08/25/2026

🤖 AI has made it incredibly easy to create more content.
But creating more content is probably the least interesting advantage you can get from it.

AI tools have access to signals from all over the web. They can see who mentions you, which sites link to you, what communities talk about you, and how much authority your brand has built over time. 🔎

So publishing another 20 articles won't do much if the rest of your presence is weak.

Belinda Conde made this point really well on Adsy Talks. Getting cited by AI isn't something you fix with a few quick tactics. SEO, digital PR, brand, social, communities like Reddit... they all feed into the same picture. 🧩

It makes “AI optimization” feel a lot less like a new marketing channel and a lot more like a test of how good your marketing already is. 👀

There’s much more on this in the full conversation.

There’s really no such thing as a “finally, I understand SEO” moment. 😂

You can spend hours digging through data, checking competitors, reading Google updates… and somehow end up with even more questions than you started with.

SEO: the job where finding an answer immediately creates three new questions. 🫠

SEO people, are you okay? 😭
