I will be publishing a full, beginner-friendly guide for small business owners who want to create better social media graphics without feeling like they need to hire a designer for every single post. It’ll cover things like branding, fonts, color, layout, visual hierarchy, Canva tools, and how to build the kinds of graphics you actually need for your business.

Little business update. 🤍

When I launched this little side gig, I honestly just needed a name that fit what I was doing at the time - and I definitely didn’t realize it would turn into taking on multiple clients and closing my books each month. 🥺

But the more I’ve worked on branding, graphics, templates, digital products, and all the odds & ends projects that have come my way, the more I realized I didn’t want my name to make it sound like I “only handle social media.”

I also recently discovered that The Social Edit KY is already being used. It is never my intention to take someone else’s hard-earned business, identity, or recognition and branch off of it - even unintentionally - so it felt like the perfect time to choose something that better fits the direction I’m actually heading anyway.

With that being said, what you all have known as The Social Edit • KY is now becoming PAPER MOON HAUS.✨

I wanted something a little less literal and something that could grow with me no matter what kind of design work I end up doing.

Nothing about the actual business is changing. It’s still me, still custom design work, still the same people I’m working with, and still the same projects. Just a new name and, eventually, a refreshed look to go with it.

With more hands-on experience, expanded editing and design software, and a better understanding of the time each project requires from concept to final files, I’ve made the decision to update my pricing moving forward.

These new rates allow me to dedicate the proper time and attention to each client while continuing to improve the quality of the work I’m able to offer. I’m incredibly grateful for every person who has trusted me with their business, brand, event, or idea.

Updated pricing is shown below and will apply to all new projects moving forward. Existing projects that have already been quoted will, of course, remain at their previously agreed-upon rate.

A simple content strategy can come down to 3 things:

🖤 1. Educational content
Teach something your audience actually wants to know. Answer FAQs, explain your process, share tips, or clear up common misconceptions. This helps position you as someone who knows what they’re doing.
🖤 2. Connection content
Let people get to know the person and story behind the business. Share behind-the-scenes moments, your why, day-to-day business life, milestones, or even the occasional imperfect moment. People connect with people before they connect with a logo.
🖤 3. Promotional content
Yes, you’re allowed to sell. Show your products or services, share availability, highlight results, talk about what makes your business different, and tell people exactly how to work with you.

Your goal should be to create a page (and even more important - a brand) that helps people understand what you do, trust you, and remember you when they’re ready to buy or book that next service.
