I interviewed a couple stylists in San Diego a few weeks ago & my question for Amanda was:

“What did you do before you became a stylist & what do you think knowing your color & style has done for you?”

I can tell you not only do Amanda’s clothes give cool girl vibes, her personality has it too. 😎

Color & style are so much more than “wear this not that because it looks better.”

It’s a dress your authentic self that is dying to express herself so others know who you are without saying a word.

And to feel so unashamedly you regardless of trends or what someone else is wearing.

Side note: I’ve watched Amanda & connected with her online & my impression of her was 1. I love meeting other fellow stylists who used to do hair & 2. “She has the best cool girl energy & I wanna be her bestie.”

So I met her at conference & made her a bestie.😉

I still think they could have done better here actually choosing a color but it gives a good base to start adding to it.🤪

Even if you’re a neutral girlie.

Or you love a dopamine look full of different hues.

Either way, knowing what works best for you helps you sift through all the colors & choose with confidence every single time.

The shade black in clothes either:

🖤 gets a bad rap like the shade itself is some evil villain or

🖤 you aren’t ever gonna wear another color for the rest of your life like she is some emotional support shade every day of your life.

Either way, you aren’t wrong.

Unless it feels it.
Let me explain.

At the beginning of every color analysis appointment I tell my clients,

“You are going to look GOOD in anything you FEEL good in because you are beautiful. HOWEVER, there are colors that take you from GOOD to GREAT.”

Payton is absolutely beautiful. She could literally wear a black trash bag & look amazing. 🤩

But tell me she wouldn’t look UHMAZING in a lime green jumpsuit & a soft warm lip color & gold jewelry?!

All colors can be good because YOU are wearing them.

Colors in your best seasonal palette are BETTER.

Colors in your palette that we determine at the end of your appointment are your Wow colors….those are your BEST.

GOOD.

BETTER.

BEST.

Let’s find your best of the best & leave black to wear only if you want to. (Pssss. You may end up loving the shade brown more. Who knows. 🤷🏼‍♀️)
