Its Mermay and what's better then a mermaid and her Sea Serpent.

A little flashback from 3yrs ago when I decided to bring this design to life. I still haven't tried to use that feather thread again nor have I done so many French knots on one design.

Rebels vs Empire

Well the Rebels definitely showed up and defeated the Empire on this go around but the darkside is strong.

I want to give a shout out to my fellow host Alicia who daringly took on both sides and encouraged me on my Maul piece. Also to all the amazing artist who let the force guide them to join in this collab.

What better way to celebrate the Revenge of the 5th but share my piece for the

Maul is a profoundly dark, tragic Star Wars character defined by relentless rage, vengeance, and obsession. With his striking red and black tattoos, menacing yellow eyes, and double-bladed lightsaber, Maul represents the immediate, physical threat of the dark side. He screams villain.

Its Revenge of the 5th and I bring you MAUL...Formally Darth...... now just Maul. My art piece for

I was thrilled to again host another Star Wars Art Collab with my fellow nerd and stitcher Alicia

I have always wanted to do a Maul piece and with the new series coming out the darkside called to me to make him. I went with the way he looked in the rebels series the more lost and broken version. His face is hand embroidered and I used watercolor and acrylic for the clothing and background. And ofcourse I added his staff lightsaber with a little needle felting.

Had to share my pieces from previous Star Wars Day and Star Wars Art Collabs. I love the fact that I have always been team Jedi and Rebel Alliance but this year you will see the Darkside take hold. Maybe I was always a Sith at heart or the darkside of the force has become stronger.
