Life update: Arrived back in Bali a few months ago after spending a year in Cape Town, and holy s**t... forgot how good this place is.
Been hitting the gym every morning. Doing hard sessions that leave me absolutely gassed.
Then catching up with friends, making new ones, and just enjoying life with good people doing cool s**t.
You see, after grinding nonstop on my business for 5+ years straight, I almost forgot what it’s like to actually just... live.
The old me was a machine. Building, grinding, optimizing every second. If it didn’t make money or move the business forward, it didn’t matter.
I was obsessed.
Every decision filtered through “does this move the needle?”. Every hour accounted for. Every relationship measured by added-value.
That s**t will make you successful. It’ll also hollow you out from the inside.
Now I’m here training till I’m destroyed. Hanging with people who don’t give a s**t about my business. Having conversations that go absolutely nowhere but somehow mean everything.
& here’s the truth:
The grind will give you everything you want and take everything you are.
You can win the game and still lose yourself in the process. I was so busy winning I was blind to it happening.
Yes, building a business still matters (I’m building a new one now), but so does being a human who actually knows how to live.
Not every second needs to be optimized. Not every moment needs ROI.
Sometimes you just need to train hard, eat good, and have deep conversations that go nowhere with the people who matter.
One of my favorite quotes: “you must find imbalance, before you can find balance”.
Point is, it won’t always be perfect.
Some seasons you’ll be locked in, head down, building. And some seasons you’ll be living, celebrating, and just enjoying life.
The trap is getting stuck in one.
Don’t be the guy who grinds for 20 years and wakes up empty. Don’t be the guy who “enjoys life” and has nothing to show for it.
The goal is knowing when to switch, and having the ability to do it.
I went to the extremes. Now I found the sweet spot.
This is it. Enjoy 2026 🤘🏼
