💕 It's that special time of year. ✨When everyone and everything wants you to look back at the past 12 months. Even Spotify insists on giving you a play-by-play of the year. Spoiler alert: I listened to a lot of

Not all of this reflection is a marketing scheme though.

A big part of moving forward is learning from the past. Chances are you didn't have a global pandemic on your 2020 vision board. This year threw everyone a curveball.  But we still need to look back at what did and didn't work so we can grow.

Take some time this week to reflect on where you were when this year started. Even if you didn't hit your target number of sales or grow your following as much as you had hoped, I bet you've made a ton of progress. Celebrate your successes - this is critical to having more of them. And find something you can learn from the goals you didn't hit. How can you do things differently in the new year?

And the final, most important step is to let that s**t go. Seriously. Once you're done, don't dwell on it. It's time to look to the future. You're not going to spend all of next year listening to your  top songs from 2020, so don't spend any more time worrying about what's already happened.

HOW TO CREATE MORE TIME TO GROW YOUR BUSINESS
One of the struggles I hear most frequently from aspiring entrepreneurs is: I don't have enough time. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I get it. When I was working a full time job it was hard to find time for my business. I was exhausted after work and didn't have the energy to focus on MORE work. Over the years I've tried tons of time management tools and strategies, but there's one trick I've found that always keeps me on track.

⏱Set a timer.

This helps you get more done in a few different ways. First, it makes you stay focused. You're not going to pick up your phone and start scrolling if you can literally see time ticking away. Secondly, when you give yourself deadlines you hold yourself accountable. It's amazing what you can accomplish in an hour when you're "on the clock." I could spend all afternoon writing a blog post. But if I only give myself 60 minutes, I'll be able to knock out a first draft within that timeframe. You also get to have a little celebration when your timer goes off. Do a dance. Grab a snack. Kiss a pug. You earned a break, so feel good taking one.

⏳I use Be Focused on my laptop and set it for 1-hour increments. I'm sure there are tons of other apps out there as well. It would be cool to get an hourglass for your desk, then you can have physical representation of time.
