Do the words in your Google reviews matter? ⭐

They can add useful context—but asking everyone to repeat “best plumber in Los Angeles” isn’t the answer. 😅

Think about the difference between “Great service!” and a customer explaining what you fixed, how you helped, and what stood out.

Both are valuable. The second gives future customers a clearer picture of your business. 🔎

So how do you encourage helpful reviews without scripting them?

💬 Ask for honest feedback
Invite every eligible customer after a completed service—not just the people you think will give five stars.

📝 Let customers use their own words
You can invite them to describe the service or their experience. Skip scripts, required keywords, and requests for a specific rating.

🔗 Make it easy
Share a direct review link or a simple QR code. A complicated process is easy to put off!

🚫 Skip the rewards
Don’t offer discounts, gifts, or contest entries in exchange for reviews.

🤝 Reply like a real person
Thank customers and respond thoughtfully to concerns. Keep private customer details out of public replies.

And remember: reviews are one part of local SEO. Your business profile, website, accurate contact details, and location all matter too. 📍

There’s no guaranteed ranking boost from adding a particular phrase. Focus on giving customers a good experience and making it easy to describe it honestly.

Will Google penalize your website because you used AI to write a page? 🤖

Not simply because AI helped. What matters is whether the content is useful, accurate, and created to help people.

But copying an AI draft, hitting publish, and repeating that 100 times? That can create problems. 👀

Before you publish, check these four things 👇

✅ Does it answer the customer’s question?
Get to the point. Skip long introductions and paragraphs that don’t add anything useful.

✅ Does it include your real experience?
Add examples from your work, helpful photos, and details about your process. Give readers something they won’t find on every competitor’s website.

✅ Are the facts correct?
Check prices, services, locations, and qualifications. AI can sound confident while getting things wrong—so have someone who knows the subject review it.

✅ Would it help someone even without Google?
If a customer landed on this page directly, would they learn something useful or feel more confident about their next step?

Also, low rankings don’t automatically mean you’ve received a penalty. Sometimes other pages simply answer the question better. 🔎

Publishing lots of repetitive pages mainly to manipulate rankings can violate Google’s spam policies, whether a person or AI wrote them.

Our advice? Use AI to organize ideas and help with drafts. Bring your expertise to the final version. 💡

Want your website to show up when someone asks ChatGPT for a recommendation? 👀

There’s no “mention my business” button. But you can make your business easier to find, understand, and learn about online. 💡

Here are 6 places to start 👇

1️⃣ Explain what you actually do 📍
Make your services, customers, and service areas clear. Skip vague lines like “We deliver great solutions.” Tell people exactly how you help.

2️⃣ Answer questions customers really ask 💬
What does your service involve? What affects the price? What should someone know before booking? Give useful answers, backed by your experience.

3️⃣ Build proof beyond your website ⭐
Real customer reviews, local coverage, and mentions from reputable organizations help support what you say about your business.

4️⃣ Make your website easy to read and use 📱
Check that pages load properly, work on phones, and are accessible to search engines. Important information should be written on the page—not hidden inside an image.

5️⃣ Keep your local details current 🏡
Update your Google Business Profile, contact information, hours, and service areas. Share real examples of work in the communities you serve.

6️⃣ Track more than one AI answer 📊
Try a few questions your customers might ask and check periodically. Look for patterns—and pay attention to website visits and inquiries, too.

ChatGPT answers can vary, and nobody can guarantee a mention. Start with what you can control: clearer information, helpful content, and real proof.

You ask ChatGPT for a business recommendation… and your competitor shows up. But you don’t. 😩

What gives?

It doesn’t automatically mean they’re better. Their business may simply be easier to find and understand online.

AI search tools need clear information about what you do, who you help, and where you work—plus evidence that supports your claims. 🔎

Here are 5 places to start 👇

1️⃣ Get your business details straight 📍
Check your website, Google Business Profile, directories, and social pages. Your name, contact details, hours, and service areas should be accurate and consistent.

2️⃣ Answer real customer questions 💬
“We offer great service” doesn’t say much. Explain what you do, who it’s for, and what happens when someone hires you.

3️⃣ Show your work ⭐
Share real reviews, project photos, customer stories, and relevant qualifications. Give people something more useful than “We’re the best!”

4️⃣ Build your reputation beyond your website 🤝
Accurate listings, local news coverage, and mentions from reputable industry organizations can help others learn about your business.

5️⃣ Make your website easy to access 📱
Important pages should load properly, work on phones, and be accessible to search engines.

Here’s a quick exercise: ask an AI tool a question your customers might ask. Look at the sources it cites. Are there useful directories or articles where your business is missing?

No one can guarantee an AI mention. But clearer information and stronger proof give customers—and AI tools—more to work with. 💡

When was the last time you checked what your website actually says? 👀

If your prices, services, or business hours have changed, your website should reflect that. But do you need to rewrite everything every month? Nope! 🙌

Here’s a practical starting schedule 👇

📅 Every 3 months: check your most important pages
Start with your homepage and the pages that bring in calls, bookings, or sales. Is the information accurate? Is it clear what visitors should do next?

🔄 Every 6 months: refresh service and location pages
Update service details, areas you cover, project photos, and answers to questions customers keep asking.

📝 Every 6–12 months: review helpful older blog posts
Check for outdated advice, broken links, and missing information. An older post might need a few useful improvements—not a complete rewrite.

⚡ As soon as something changes: update it
New hours? Different pricing? A service you no longer offer? Don’t wait for your next scheduled review.

📉 If visits or inquiries drop: take a closer look
Check whether the page still answers customers’ questions and whether its links and contact forms work.

One thing to remember: changing a date or swapping a few words doesn’t automatically improve your Google rankings. Make the page more helpful for the person reading it. 💡

Start small. Pick one important page and ask, “What would make this easier for a customer to understand?”

Save this schedule for later! Need help deciding what to update first? DM us “REFRESH”—we’d love to help. 💬

Your new page is live… so why isn’t it showing up on Google? 👀

Google needs to find your page and add it to its index—think of it as Google’s library—before people can discover it in search. 📚

Start by checking the page in Google Search Console. Already indexed? Then you’re dealing with rankings, which is a different issue.

If it’s missing, here are 9 fixes to check 👇

1️⃣ Make sure the page works
Open it without logging in. It should load normally, without an error or sending visitors somewhere else.

2️⃣ Remove accidental “noindex” settings
That little setting tells Google, “Don’t include this page.” It’s sometimes left on after a website launches.

3️⃣ Let Google visit
Check whether your robots.txt file—the instructions for website crawlers—is blocking access.

4️⃣ Point Google to the right version
Your “canonical” setting tells Google which version of a page you prefer. Make sure it isn’t pointing somewhere unintended.

5️⃣ Add an internal link
Link to your new page from a relevant page already on your website. Give Google a clear path to find it. 🔗

6️⃣ Update your sitemap
Include the page in your website’s list of URLs. This helps Google discover it.

7️⃣ Give each page something different
Copying a page and swapping the city name isn’t enough. Add details that make each page useful on its own.

8️⃣ Answer real customer questions
Explain your services, process, and what customers can expect. Helpful specifics beat generic filler. 💡

9️⃣ Clean up broken paths
Fix broken navigation, slow server responses, and unnecessary redirects that make your site harder to explore.

Once you’ve made the fixes, test the page in Search Console and request indexing. Repeated clicks won’t speed things up, and inclusion isn’t guaranteed. ⏳
