🌟 Flashback to last year's incredible Every Day Action Gala! 🌟

Los Angeles may be home to the stars, but it isn’t just about celebrities. It’s about everyday people working to make the world a better place, and Every Day Action is leading the way.

A nonprofit that’s near and dear to our hearts, EDA is on a mission to fight food waste and hunger in our home city of Los Angeles. Reallocating around 60,000 meals a year, they collect excess gourmet meals from TV/film sets and corporate offices to redistribute the food to those in need. Love that!

Currently serving 90 square miles of the LA area, from Santa Clarita to San Pedro, they’re looking to expand their impact even more this year. Woot woot! šŸ™Œ

Their annual gala helps raise crucial funds to support their work, and last year, Solhaus Media had the honor of capturing the magic at this important fundraising event.

We loved filming it all, especially the red carpet interviews with stars like Barrett Foa, Alex Ellis, Vincent Rodriguez III, and more!

We also got to witness an epic auction, with fabulous items like private chef dinners and a trip to Italy, all for a good cause.

This year’s gala is coming soon, and tickets are available now! Don’t miss out on the chance to party old-Hollywood style while supporting this life-changing organization.

We’re excited to be attending again this year to capture the evening on camera…will we see you there?

šŸ”„ ICYMI, Your mood board is not a strategy.

Curated vibes are cute, but your brand deserves more than a Pinterest aesthetic. If you want photos that feel like you, you need to show story. Depth. Intention.

When I first met with my client, freelance writer & writing coach Krissi Driver, her mood board leaned minimal—neutral tones, pops of color, clean lines.

But after actually talking with her? Hearing her voice, seeing how she lights up when she talks about her work? I knew the aesthetic wasn’t the full story.

Krissi’s brand is vibrant. Clever. Energetic. She needed a space that matched her boldness.

So we ditched the beige and brought the color.

We shot at Dazey Den’s technicolor dream home in Highland Park and wrapped with murals and street art on York. The results? A session that matched her spirit, not just her inspo board.

Your brand photos shouldn’t just be pretty. They should be powerful.

And maybe it’s the journalism in me, but I’m not here to recreate someone else’s vision board. I’m here to capture what makes you unforgettable.

There’s nothing we love more than capturing a mission-driven event…especially when it comes with a red carpet moment. šŸŽ¬

Latinas in Beauty is on a mission to elevate Latina women in the beauty industry, and their Beverly Hills launch party was both fabulous AND powerful.

Swanky venue in Beverly Hills, powerhouse speakers, and an entire room of women hyping each other up? Say less.

Behind the scenes, the Solhaus Media team was hustling to capture every speech, candid connection, and champagne toast. Because moments like these deserve to be seen and shared.

Here’s what we delivered:
šŸ“ø Event Photography - showcasing the energy, connections, and purpose of the night.
🌟 Red Carpet Moments - glam shots that attendees could share to boost visibility.
šŸŽ„ Full Speaker Videos - professional footage for entrepreneurs to use in their speaker reels.
šŸ”„ Highlight Video - a powerful recap to help Latinas in Beauty amplify their mission & attract donors.

But vibrant visuals like these aren’t just for show. They’re also a tool for impact.

Non-profits like Latinas in Beauty rely on powerful storytelling to grow their community, inspire action, and drive donations.

That’s why we LOVE working with mission-driven organizations.

Visibility = Impact. And we’re here for that.

If your non-profit is ready for more visibility + $$$ to fuel your mission, let’s chat! Book a call with me using the link in bio.

Q: What’s always in style? šŸ‘—

A: Stunning brand photos and videos that make your business unforgettable. Just ask my longtime client, the fabulous April Clemmer of .

From Old Hollywood tour guide to personal fashion stylist, April’s brand has evolved, so she needed her brand imagery to do the same.

For April’s latest Los Angeles brand shoot, we found the perfect Parisian-inspired setting to match her timeless aesthetic, incorporating luxe textures like a pleated velvet couch and a super fun flamingo feather tree.

I never say no to a feather tree. Or the kind of lighting that just makes my clients glow.

But the real magic behind these stunning shots? Collaboration.

With production designer Emma Roberts of setting each scene and hair + makeup artist Summer Rose of keeping April looking flawless all day, this shoot was a dream.

And because video is a must for today’s brands, we captured a whopping 40+ b-roll brand video clips to add to April’s visual library to give April content she can use from her website to social media to…
…amplify her message
…elevate her image
…and make working with her an irresistible dream ✨.

Ready for your brand glow up? Let’s chat! Book a call with me today! https://www.solhausmedia.com/contact

Let’s Talk. šŸ’›

A few months ago, I photographed and filmed a retreat where 26 incredible women stepped in front of my camera for new professional headshots.

And one by one, nearly every single one of these amazing ladies said:
šŸ’¬ ā€œI’m so awkward in photos.ā€
šŸ’¬ ā€œUgh, I hate the way I look right now.ā€
šŸ’¬ ā€œCan you Photoshop me 20 lbs lighter? Haha… but seriously.ā€

For eight hours straight, I heard more self-criticism than anything else…all from seriously smart, accomplished women whose confidence just seemed to evaporate the minute they got in front of my lens.

I was there to capture their strength and beauty, but they were almost solely focused on their (perceived) flaws.

I’ve been there, and I get it. I too fall into negative self-talk more often than I’d like to admit, and I’ve had my fair share of body image issues.

But something about hearing it that day, again and again, from so many unique and wonderful women, just hit me different.

It really made me pause and think, Whose standards are we using to decide these things about ourselves?

If we stopped measuring ourselves against impossible or made-up comparisons, would we finally see ourselves as we are: whole, powerful, enough?

I know there’s a ton more to unravel and I definitely don’t have the answer. But I’m here with this post because I want you to feel like the amazing human you are, NOT like the lesser version of someone else.

So, consider this your reminder: You are beautiful. You are worthy. You are MORE than enough. šŸ’›

Google and Apple may be erasing International Women’s Day from their calendars, but I’m still celebrating being a female founder alongside 14 million-ish other women-owned small businesses in the U.S. (about 40% of all American businesses!)

Together, women-owned businesses in the U.S. generate an incredible $2.7 trillion in revenue each year *and* employ nearly 12.2 million people—including all the amazing team members that have been working alongside me at Solhaus Media the last few years (woot woot! šŸŽ‰).

And what makes female founders truly stand out?

So glad you asked.
✨ We don’t wait for permission.
✨ We don’t see obstacles, just opportunities.
✨ We are inspired by other women, *not* jealous of them.
✨ We don’t keep our dreams in the ā€œone dayā€ category. We act on them TODAY.

Being a female founder isn’t just about running a business. It’s about putting yourself out there, showing up even when you’re unsure, and carving out a space where one didn’t exist before.

In 2022, after an especially difficult season of no clients and questioning literally everything, I made one big decision: to own my skill set and step fully into both photo and video.

That shift changed everything, and soon (aka after a lot more questioning, imposter syndrome and plenty of procrastination binge-watching Friends) I launched my agency, Solhaus Media, because I knew serving clients was becoming bigger than a photography business.

Now, I and my team work to support other founders, entrepreneurs, and organizations on their own journeys by giving them a safe space to show up with confidence…and then creating really, really powerful visuals for them to use everywhere.

So, from this female founder to everyone out there who’s leading, building, and putting your work into the world: keep going. You’ve got this.

What kind of houseplant would you be? 🪓

I know, maybe not the question you were expecting from this brand photographer + videographer over here.

But seriously, I want to know…Which plant are you channeling today?

šŸŖ“ā€¦A minimalist, low-maintenance Succulent, just here for the good vibes?
šŸŖ“ā€¦A bold, dramatic Monstera, taking up space like the main character you are?
šŸŖ“ā€¦A high-maintenance Orchid, bringing the beauty + the drama?
šŸŖ“ā€¦A flexible, easygoing Pothos, thriving wherever life takes you?

Here’s why I ask.

I’ve been thinking a lot about plants lately, and what happens when you forget about them for a few *ahem* days…Hello, Parlor Palm sitting in the corner of my living room.šŸ˜…

Because here’s the thing. Even the easiest plants to take care of still need attention. They might survive if you forget about them, but they won't thrive. They need that extra time and care to really flourish, and even "low-maintenance" plants can get a little neglected - because, well, life.

But when you give them what they need, they’ll come back stronger and more vibrant than ever.
So, us? We’re feeling Amaryllis vibes right about now.

You know, those bulbs that look like oversized onions? They can spend weeks (sometimes months) growing long, sturdy leaves and getting comfortable in their pot before finally blooming into the star of the show. We’re talking bold, beautiful, and impossible to ignore.

Now that it’s March - šŸŽ‰ woohoo Women’s History Month AND the start of spring 🌸 - we’re back and ready to share all the ways we’ve been growing our roots and getting ready to bloom like no other in 2025.

So get ready for a new season of Solhaus Media, and trust me: it’s going to be wild.

But not too wild.

After all, I’m at the stage of life where I care about beauty sleep and houseplants. šŸ˜‰

Drop your plant personality in the comments & tell me what kind of energy you're bringing this Women’s Month!

Buckle up because we’re getting 🌶 today about ā€œVulnerable Marketingā€ šŸ‘‡šŸ¼

I know, vulnerability is all the buzz right now, and it’s giving some people the ick.

Over here at Solhaus Media, we personally admire the brave transparency of showing up crying on the bathroom floor - being unapologetic about your emotions and to normalize having BIG FEELINGS is something should be applauded, not looked down on, in our opinion.

But if showing your tears on the Internet isn’t your jam, that’s OK, too! There are other powerful ways to be vulnerable online.

While being polished with your brand colors and props is an important element of a brand photo shoot, showing and expressing EMOTION in your brand photos is a big thing I see missing in the online space.

Because the big transformations you’re helping your clients reach result in big feels, for both you AND them.

This shoot with Juliet Magdalene of is a perfect example. Juliet is an Intimacy & Relationship Coach who teaches her clients how to heal generational patterns so that they promote healthier dynamics within their love life.

A big part of her work includes inner child healing, which came out during our session together, with dancing, laughing, skipping, and being silly.

This of course leads to a more regulated nervous system & self love, which we also made sure to capture during her shoot.

I see so many coaches and business owners treat their brand photos more like a vanity project than a marketing asset. And I think it’s because they’re resisting using big feels and emotions as a tool in their arsenal.

It’s great to get dolled up and take fierce photos for yourSELF. I believe every woman needs to feel empowered in front of the camera.

But when it comes to marketing your biz? It’s the FEELS that are going make the real connections with your audience.

Drop a šŸ™‹šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø in the comments you FEEL me on this one.

šŸ’ø What would you do with $20K in the bank, photographer?

šŸ„‚ Me? I'd spend all that time I wasn't spending chasing new leads sitting by the pool and sipping on champagne.

🐈 Or, if we're being totally honest, I'd be at home with my cat doing the latest puzzle. But the champagne would still be there.

ā¤ļø It's not just that you CAN make five figures on one project. It's that clients are EXPECTING to pay that much for video. (And IDK about you, but I'm a people pleaser so I'm really not about letting them down).

🚪 This summer has never been a better time to finally learn video and start incorporating it into your packages (fun fact: August & September are HUGE months for courses and coaching programs...why not get in on the ground floor and be able to offer video to clients?)

šŸ“² Literally nothing to lose by booking a quick 20-minute exploratory call with me to see how it would work in your business.
