Princess Astle has been a creative director for TC for more than 3 years now. She has directed trendy videos for big companies like Paypal, eos, Sesame Street and Lego. James is a talented filmmaker, animator and motion graphics creator. He has helped me bring to life many projects that I have directed. He is the mastermind behind many award-winning videos for the USPTO, Doritos, Crayola, Enactus,

This project was pretty special for us. Every 6 months, millions of people around the world pause to watch the General Conference sessions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was an honor creating the Welcome and Goodbye videos for the sessions.

From filming across cities to shaping the story in the edit, every moment reminded us why we love what we do.

It’s funny, informational and eye-catchy. Screen shots from the final video we did for a brand that’s gonna be launching soon. This was such a fun video to shoot and edit because of the concept and the way the product’s used. We were able to do both live action and motion graphics. Funny story about this project, we had to shoot it twice! This has never happened before but when we finished filming the first time for some reason the SD card got corrupted. But thankfully we were able to re-shoot everything the second day and it all worked out. 💪 we were able to improve on the shots and directing.

My Story

James Astle is an artist born and raised in Los Angeles California. He is a recent graduate with a Bachelors degree in graphic design from a little school on the North shore of Oahu, BYU-H. Along with a degree and more important is his life commitment to the progression of creative expression in many fields. He has a wide array of skill sets yet they are still potent, and not to thinly spread over the playing field.

James has done many works in designing different mediums of art (logo, murals, painting, illustration, stop motion, fashion, etc.), branding, photography and filmography and videography. He has traveled to more than 20 countries to work for himself and big companies (both for profit and non-profit) to share his talent. He is also the founder and owner of Tukan Productions (video and film) and JAME Co. (clothing apparel that gives back in preserving the language and culture of indigenous communities). James is currently based in Laie, Hawaii where he teaches Creative Video Marketing at BYUH.
