Yesterday, I had the opportunity to meet the owner of the Sacramento Kings Basketball team at a restaurant in Menlo Park, Ca..... (he is a very wealthy, but a friendly guy). After our conversation, I sat and pondered on just how many rejections or delays he faced during the trajectory of building the brand new stadium in Sacramento and yet he continues to press forward, despite those challenges.

How many times have you been FRUSTRATED with your results in sales and have wanted to give up, but didn't!?

A few minutes ago I had a conversation with an owner who has 18 years of experience in his industry and has a very good product. Our conversation made me reflect on the fact that we can be so stuck in the way we think, at times, which in turn, affects sales, our dreams and goals.

His main point is that he would rather not advertise online because "what will happen once tons of customers start rolling in? What will he do with all of them?"

The fear of success is very REAL

A couple days ago, the Toastmasters group I am apart of held Officer Elections for their following cycle. I chose not to run, but attended so that I could vote, since my vote does count :) The winners were announced the same evening for multiple roles. What surprised me was that only one person ran for President and she won!

It's kind of like being in Sales, 80%-90% of it is about showing up, the rest of it is skill.

What are your thoughts on this?
