Owning a boat with your dog should feel like freedom…not a full-body workout trying to hoist a wet, wiggling pup back onboard.

That’s the problemTroy Bruce of nautiDAWGS Dog Boat Ladder set out to solve.

And if you’ve ever been in that situation, you know—it’s not just inconvenient. It’s stressful. It’s unsafe. It takes the fun out of what should be a great day on the water.

So Troy fixed it.

What started as an idea (and a lot of trial, error, and determination) turned into a product designed to make boating with your four-legged co-captain safer and easier. Lightweight. Durable. Built for real boats and real dogs.

But here’s the part people don’t always see…

This wasn’t just a website project.
This was a full product launch.
We started with market research.
Then SEO strategy.
Then messaging (so the right people actually get it).
Then website design and build.
Then digital marketing and launch strategy.
Plus a little graphic design and video editing along the way—because launches are never just one thing.

And somewhere between refining copy and hitting “publish,” this became more than a project for LSB Inc.

It became a collaboration.

From my mom spotting a Nextdoor post (proof that referrals come from everywhere) to working side by side with Troy and Angela to bring this vision to life—this is what I love about what I do.

Because behind every “launch” is a real story.

In this case?
Four years of building, testing, tweaking, and yes…praying…to get this ladder right.
Four years before a single “buy now” button ever existed.

So yesterday wasn’t just a website going live.

It was the starting line of a business that’s been a long time in the making.

And if there’s one thing I’ll always say—it’s this: A website isn’t the finish line.

It’s the moment you finally open the door.

Louisville parents — quick question.

I’m helping a local dance school better understand what families actually want from children’s dance programs (especially with so many options out there).

If you have children ages 2–12, would you consider taking this 5–7-minute anonymous survey?

There’s no selling and no follow-up — it’s purely research being conducted by Lisa Sobel-Berlow, Inc on behalf of Ambo Dance Theatre School.

Thank you for helping shape better programs for kids in our community.
I am happy to answer any questions in the comments.

AI Search Is Changing the Game—But You Might Already Be Winning

Last week, I emailed all of my SEO clients to share something important: AI is reshaping search, and some of the SEO work we’ve done together could benefit from updates. I did this to stay transparent in an industry that too often feels like smoke and mirrors.

If you’ve invested in your website’s SEO, you might be wondering: What does AI search mean for all that work?

Here’s the truth: your efforts are still paying off.

AI tools like Google’s AI Overview and ChatGPT may answer questions directly—but they’re still pulling information from websites. The sites that get featured are the ones with strong foundations and clear, well-structured content.

If you’ve been:
✅ Adding alt text to images
✅ Building helpful FAQs
✅ Making your site fast and user-friendly
✅ Writing content that actually serves your audience
..you’re already ahead of most businesses.

Think of it like this: you’ve built a solid car, and now a new highway is opening. A few strategic adjustments can help you take advantage of the new route—but you’re not starting from scratch.

The real story? AI search rewards the same things good SEO always has: clear communication, helpful content, and websites built for real people. If you’ve been intentional about your digital presence, this shift is more opportunity than threat.

Yes, there are new optimizations that can help you show up in AI answers. But panic? Not necessary. Your foundation matters—and it’s working.

👉 Have you noticed changes in how you search for information online? Are you using AI tools more often? I’d love to hear how your habits are evolving.

One year ago, I took the leap—LSB, Inc. went from a side hustle to my full-time business. It was terrifying, exhilarating, and honestly? The best decision I’ve ever made.

In the past year, I’ve learned more than I ever thought possible—about business, resilience, taxes (oh, taxes), and most importantly, about the power of community.

To my incredible clients: You’ve trusted me with your brands, stories, and visions. You’ve let me strategize, build, and create alongside you, and I don’t take that lightly. Your success is my success, and I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to work with each of you.

To my support system: You’ve cheered me on, picked me up when imposter syndrome crept in, and reminded me that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. From every “You got this” text to every referral you sent my way—THANK YOU.

This year hasn’t been without its challenges. Late payments, lost checks, and the eternal question of “Did I save enough for taxes?” have tested my faith in myself and this business. But each hurdle made me more confident, determined, and in awe of the small business owners I serve—because I am one of you.

This isn’t just a business anniversary. It’s a celebration of risk-taking, learning, adapting, and betting on myself.

So here’s to the next year of helping businesses grow, making digital marketing less intimidating, and continuing to do what I love.

If we’ve worked together, I’d love to hear what stood out from our collaboration. If you’ve been following my journey, drop a comment and let me know: What’s one leap you’ve taken in your own business that paid off?

With gratitude,
Lisa

Today was “move in” day for my new office nook. I’ve got a few things that I’m going to still need to make this the new home of LSB Inc but for now I’m super excited about the direction we are going! Thank you Emily Kaskie with Ascend Home Improvement for your creative and innovative ideas and for the hard work you put in!

Some days working for yourself means taking the dog for a long walk to clear your head. Others means finding a space that can be a standing desk while your child sleeps on your back.

In business, staying ahead means constantly learning and adapting to new tools. Today, I started a course called "ChatGPT for Email Newsletters" by Tarzan Kay, someone I’ve been following for about a year. In just an hour and a half, I’ve learned so much about harnessing the power of ChatGPT for my business and clients.

One of the first things I created was a brand voice guide for LSB, Inc., and I can’t wait to apply what I’ve learned to help my clients with their newsletters. Whether creating content faster or maintaining a consistent brand voice, this is already proving to be an incredibly valuable tool.

This experience has reminded me how important it is always to keep learning. What new skills or tools have you been exploring recently? I’d love to hear what’s helping you grow in your work.
