Success stories often get told like fairy tales.
“Overnight growth.”
“Breakthrough month.”
Why?
Because people love things they crave.
The fitness pages.
The get-rich-quick ads.
Easy sells.
But what if we were more attracted to truth?
The truth is less glamorous.
It’s the Sunday nights with a pit in your stomach.
The long stretch where nobody believes in you, but you.
Sitting at the poker table of life and choosing to bet on yourself over and over again.
That's real. That's raw. Those are the conversations I want to be a part of and the tables I want to sit at.
From the outside, the last four years may appear to be: things must be great.
But nothing about building a business is easy. Every good thing has been built on sacrifice and relentless effort.
That’s why I’ve learned the importance of what I call micro-recovery.
I live deeply in my work, but also deeply in the micro-moments.
Because I know I won’t always get week-long vacations.
Survival means making the small windows matter.
A day off. A weekend. A three-day stretch.
The key is to live them intentionally and fully.
That’s why you’ll find me quiet at times. Observing. Taking in the details. The smells. The laughter. The stillness.
Those moments refill my cup.
This past weekend was one of those times.
My daughter turned five.
We camped. We celebrated her, and my son, whose birthday is coming soon.
I soaked it all in like a tall glass of water. Enough to carry me for weeks.
As summer closes and a new quarter is drawing near, I’m reminded: this life is demanding, but it’s also deeply rewarding.
Blessed. Grateful. And committed to my family, to my team, and to the business owners we serve.
This is a life I wouldn’t trade for anything in the world.
