Every few months, someone says print is dead.
And then real life reminds me why it is very much alive.
My son Davis gets Sports Illustrated Kids magazine. Because of an ad he keeps seeing in it, he has asked me more than once about getting a YMCA membership.
Not because someone chased him around the internet.
Because he saw it in a magazine.
And it stuck.
I see it too. Every month, I get a postcard reminding me to donate blood. And every month, I think, “I really do need to do that.”
That is the power of print.
It shows up.
It lingers.
It gets picked up again.
It reminds people without shouting at them.
Digital marketing is powerful too. It is fast, measurable, and can reach people instantly.
But print does something different.
It creates familiarity.
And for local businesses, familiarity matters.
Because when someone needs a dentist, realtor, attorney, home service company, financial advisor, restaurant, gym, or local expert, they usually do not call a stranger.
They call the name they recognize.
The name they trust.
The name that has been showing up consistently.
That is why I believe print and digital work best together.
Print gives your business credibility.
Digital gives your business reach.
Together, they create momentum.
Just ask Tecovas Boots. 👢
They send me the catalog, and then those boots follow me around every corner of the internet like they know I’ve been thinking about them.
And honestly, it works.
That is what we are building with Maitland Neighbors.
Not just ads.
Not just impressions.
A consistent local presence that helps good businesses become known, trusted, and remembered.
If you own a local business and want more of the right people to know who you are, I’d love to talk. - Justin
