Rain, Rain Go Away ... it's time to Kick-off Summer!

☀️ SUMMER KICKOFF WEATHER UPDATE ☀️
We are aware of the current weather forecast for Friday’s Summer Kickoff in downtown New London and want our community, vendors, sponsors, and visitors to know that we are actively monitoring conditions very closely.
At this time, we are continuing to move forward with Summer Kickoff as planned. ❤️
As many of you know, Wisconsin weather can change quickly, and while there is a chance of storms in the forecast, there is also still plenty of opportunity for a beautiful evening downtown. Our goal is always to bring our community an amazing event while keeping safety our top priority.
We will NEVER put attendees, vendors, volunteers, entertainers, or staff in a dangerous situation.
To prepare, our team is:
✔️ Monitoring weather and radar continuously leading up to and during the event
✔️ Working closely with local emergency services and event partners
✔️ Reviewing severe weather and shelter procedures
✔️ Communicating directly with vendors and entertainment teams
✔️ Asking all vendors to ensure tents are properly weighted and secured

At this time, there are NO changes to the event schedule.
We know how much this event means to our community, local businesses, food trucks, musicians, nonprofits, vendors, and families. After drawing nearly 5,000 visitors last year, we are incredibly excited to bring Summer Kickoff back to downtown New London this Friday with Nashville Pipeline, the Night Market, beer garden, food, entertainment, and activities for all ages. 🇺🇸🌟
To our vendors:
Please continue preparing as scheduled and make sure your tents, displays, and signage are properly secured for possible wind conditions. We will continue communicating updates if needed.

The Friends of the Fox Cities Composite Squadron Booster Club is holding a cash raffle, and tickets are on sale now through July 21st!

The booster club directly supports the Fox Cities Composite Squadron, helping with things like cadet uniforms, maintenance, and keeping our facility online (thank you Starlink!). Their current goal is to replace emergency services field gear so our teams stay mission-ready.

Tickets are $20 each or 3 for $50, and all ticket stubs will go into a live drawing on Tuesday, July 21st at our Taco Truck Fundraiser held right here at the squadron. You do not need to be present to win — but honestly, why would you skip tacos?🌮

Help us make this year's Shine Bright Against Cancer Color Run/Walk an even bigger success!

Every year, we are reminded that cancer touches far too many lives in our community. Choosing one family to honor is never easy because behind every diagnosis is a story of courage and resilience that deserves to be celebrated. This year, we are honored to be running for Felicia.

In January 2026, Felicia Roddy, a wife, mom, and member of our New London community was diagnosed with breast cancer. She faced her diagnosis head-on, undergoing a double mastectomy and beginning a journey that no family is ever truly prepared for. Through it all, Felicia has shown the kind of courage that reminds us why we show up for one another.

This year, Shine Bright Against Cancer will donate a portion of our event proceeds to Felicia and her family as they navigate the road ahead. It's our way of wrapping this community around someone who deserves to know she is not walking this path alone.

Felicia, your strength is an encouragement to many and we are with you every step of the way. 🧡

Here is your friendly reminder:

If you've received a notice from Domain Listings for their Website Listing Service... don't. Feel free to use it as a coaster for your coffee cup or maybe as a nice fire starter.

Domain Listings routinely sends official-looking invoices that include your domain name, an account number, and a payment deadline, designed to make you think your domain is expiring, when they are really just trying to sell you a spot within their website listing service.

A few things worth noting:
🚩 The small print reads "This is not a bill. This is a solicitation." Intentionally easy to miss, and a headache to recover from!
🚩 The company holds an F rating with the Better Business Bureau, with hundreds of complaints on file.

If you're ever unsure whether an invoice related to your website or domain is legitimate, forward it to your marketing or web team before paying anything, it will save you time, money, and a headache!
