Root Productions

Root Productions Root Productions is a Mansfield-based content creation service built specifically for small businesses. We're a local business working with local businesses.

We help small businesses in Mansfield and North Central Ohio show up consistently on social media with real, locally produced photo and video contentโ€” and the written captions that give each post its voice and context. We produce photos and videos for your social media platforms โ€” shot on-site at your business, not pulled from a stock library or pieced together from generic templates. Over the pas

t three years, we've helped local businesses across North Central Ohio build a more consistent and credible presence online. Whether you're a restaurant, shop, service provider, or contractor, we create content that actually reflects what your business looks like and what you do. We also offer optional scheduling and posting management if you'd rather hand off the day-to-day side of social media entirely. If your social media has been sitting on the back burner because you don't have the time or know where to start, that's exactly the problem we solve.

Local businesses keep posting for a social media content creator. Sometimes bundled with a marketing strategist role. One salary, two jobs.

I get why a business wants someone in-house. But most local businesses don't need forty hours a week of content, and when that hire leaves, your consistency leaves with them.

A contractor works around your schedule, costs you nothing in downtime, and doesn't disappear with two weeks notice.

If you've been trying to fill that role and it isn't working, message me. Root Productions is based in Mansfield and I work with businesses across North Central Ohio.

This is where it was all headed.

Two videos of digging, plumbing, leveling, and dry-fitting โ€” all of it for this. Water arcing over the pool. Lights shifting through color. The whole backyard alive as the sun goes down.

It's easy to look at a finished pool like this and see only the pretty part. But every arc of water and every glowing light traces back to something buried in a wall, a line run through a tight poolhouse, a panel leveled and re-leveled until it was right.

The best work usually hides itself. This is what it looks like when it all comes together.

Thanks for following along.

Part 2 of the rebuild โ€” and this is where it gets complicated.

We start by pouring the footer to lock the walls and anchors in place. Then comes the part most people never see: all the plumbing. And this pool has a lot of it โ€” two pumps, automatic flow controls, a heater, lights with different modes, bubblers built right into the tanning ledges, and six laminars that we won't say another word about just yet.

Every line for all of that had to feed through one small opening into the poolhouse. Once inside, it all gets routed and organized to stay out of the way but still be easy to reach when it needs service. In a poolhouse that tight, packing that much in and keeping it serviceable is no small task.

And none of it gets glued right away. Every piece is dry-fit first โ€” set in place, checked, then taken back apart and reassembled with glue. Measure twice, so nothing's leaking behind a wall later.

From there the deck and floor go in, the liner gets fit tight around the steps with no wrinkles, and Schrock Water rolls up to start the fill. We've worked with Schrock for years, and they never let us down.

We'll leave it there for now โ€” the pool's filling, and Sunday, you see everything it can do. Give us a follow so you don't miss it.

Some jobs are too big for one video. This is Part 1 of three.

A full pool rebuild, start to finish. First we dig out the footer โ€” some with the excavator, some by hand. The old walls come out. Then the new walls go in, and that part's slow. Every panel gets adjusted and leveled again and again until it sits perfectly true. We even ran a laser around the top edge to make sure it's level the whole way around.

If this stage is off even a little, everything after it suffers โ€” so we take our time and get it right. It's the foundation the whole pool is built on.

So here's where we're at: walls up, ready for concrete. Part 2 picks right up there. Give us a follow so you don't miss how it all comes together.

Everybody wants the shot from the top of the cliffs. Nobody talks about what it takes to get it.

This is the Chapel Beach Trail at Pictured Rocks, up along the cliffs over Lake Superior. Absolutely gorgeous. Also home to what felt like every fly in the Upper Peninsula, at least 50 on me at any given moment, for a solid three or four miles.

Good news, only about 1 in 10 of them actually bite. Bad news, you have no idea which one it is until it happens.

Now try holding a camera still for a clean shot while that's going on. Every peaceful nature clip you've ever seen? There's a real chance the person filming it was quietly losing their mind just off camera. Worth it though. Mostly.

My first time with Team Focus was back in 2001, as a camper. Twenty-five years later, I'm still with them, now helping capture camp on video.

Team Focus is a nonprofit that pours into young men growing up without a father in their lives. Leadership, respect, faith, teamwork, patience, the kind of things a lot of these guys don't have someone around to teach them. I know, because I was one of them. The role models this place put in front of me, and the lessons that stuck, are why I've stayed involved all these years.

This video is from one of my favorite parts of camp. The guys get a class on fine dining and manners, then they put it to use at a formal dinner. Watching them go from nervous to squared away never gets old.

Being able to give back with the work I do now means a lot. It's the same content work I do for the local businesses I partner with. If your business has a story worth telling, that's exactly what I do.

Copywriting for a business starts with learning how they actually talk.

Before I write a single post, I want to understand a company. How they roll, how they talk to their customers, what their vibe is. A shop that jokes with everyone who walks in shouldn't sound buttoned-up online, and a business built on precision shouldn't sound loose. The tone has to match who they really are.

Then it's a conversation. I'll write, share it, and check that it feels right to them. If it's not landing, we adjust. Nailing a company's voice isn't a guess, it's something you dial in together until they read it back and it sounds exactly like them.

That's the part I enjoy most. Picking up on a business's vibe and reflecting it well enough that their posts sound like them, not like some outside writer.

A quick look at some of the marketplace buys and unique equipment at Fleets Fitness Center. Glad I could help put this piece together.

If youโ€™re in the Ontario area and looking for a gym, this is definitely one worth checking out โ€” great community, solid staff, and equipment you donโ€™t typically see in most facilities.
