Did some big things in OT today! We got to climb on the rockwall, swing (with no hands!), jump on the rebounder, cross the obstacle course, and do some art! I’m def going to steal this art project. Usually we like art in more of a freestyle setting, but today we dipped cotton balls in paint and then tried to dab them in pre-drawn circles. Helps with fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and following directions! Isla really enjoyed it! We still have a hard time transitioning between activities, but she did great with exploring! Novelty and ideation are not our strong suits, but we are working on it!

My little side hustle is turning into my main hustle! I haven’t admitted this yet, but I was messaging with someone just now. I’m not sure why, but the honesty was flowing. I started this biz back in August but I got laid off from my “stable healthcare job” at the end of last year. It was so devastating honestly. But I have to say I am relieved. I was over-committed and over-stressed. And now? Now I get to spend way more time with my daughter, take her to all her appointments and therapies. The freedom is so immense, I can’t even describe it. I’m very grateful that this business was there to help save me from the despair of unemployment/no income. So cheers to new beginnings! 👏🏼🙏🏼👏🏼

Jake and I took the baby (I guess she’s not a baby, she’s three!!) on her first road trip this past weekend. She did SO good! She hardly complained, she let us listen to our music, she looked out the window and learned new things about our state. It was a beautiful time. I would highly recommend taking your toddlers on a road trip. They might do better than you think!

Good morning!!! So glad it’s Friday. Showing up for myself today because I know this weekend will be jam-packed!! But honestly, the last two months have been jam-packed and I’m ready to get back into it!! I’m glad this business is there for you at all times, whether you’re ready or not. Getting ready for a work presentation tomorrow and I found this cool AK prosthesis I made probably six years back. This was for a kid who was around 10 years old if I remember correctly. Jurassic World leg, gotta love it!

My daughter loves walking over these tree roots outside her early intervention program. Even though she can’t quite do it on her own yet, she always always asks. I love her adventurous spirit and that she is willing to get better and stronger each day.

It amazes me how toddlers learn and engage with their surroundings. Maybe it’s just me, but adults get so stuck in the routine sometimes.

I finally decided to take control of my life. I started a business online that will hopefully help me grow financially and provide me freedom. Freedom to learn new things, freedom to spend more time with my family, freedom to quit the 8-5 and live on my own terms.

Celebrating picture day with a little after-school froyo!!

My husband’s car was in the shop and unfortunately it wasn’t ready by the time we got off work. He normally picks up our daughter after daycare since it’s so close to his office. Luckily his coworker was able to bring him over to the daycare to pick her up, and I met them at a frozen yogurt shop.

It was such a simple outing, yet it was so much fun. We’ve never gotten froyo after work like that. It was nice to spice it up a bit. Felt like the weekend!!

Baby girl got a massive sugar high and was super hangry for real dinner….but it was still so lovely 😅🤣
