**Edit: I just want to add that this is absolutely not a reflection of Outback or a “woe is me” post. Outback is one of my favorite events every year, and the artists, volunteers, organizers, and customers are what have kept me coming back. Yesterday simply gave me an unexpected sense of peace about a decision I’d already made**
Yesterday was one of the slowest sales days I’ve ever had at such a big event. At first, I was really disappointed. But after sitting with it for a while, I realized maybe it wasn’t a sign that I wasn’t good enough. Maybe it was the universe gently reminding me that it’s okay to let this chapter come to an end.
Today is my last Outback as a vendor behind Strangebird Stitching. It’s bittersweet, but it also feels like the right time. This little business has given me so much over the years. I’ve met incredible people, made lifelong friends, and been lucky enough to spend weekends surrounded by some of the most talented artists around.
If you’re coming to Outback today, I’d love for you to stop by one last time. Say hello, browse the booth, and support all of the amazing artists who make this event so special.
And yes… there is still one pair of these Lake Superior earrings waiting for someone. 😊
I’ll have a few more opportunities this year to sell off my remaining inventory before Strangebird Stitching officially comes to a close, so stay tuned to see where I’ll be next.
