I was experimenting with some lanyard designs today and noticed something kind of interesting.

The stretchy bracelet-cord style with small seed beads ended up feeling surprisingly satisfying to fidget with. Even just the lanyard itself has this gentle tug and resistance to it that I kept messing with while I was working.

It honestly made me start thinking about whether wearable fidgets could be built into lanyards on purpose instead of just being decorative.

Some ideas I’ve been playing with:

* a small spinner attachment on the end
* a loop section with pony beads that can slide or spin
* mini pop-it style keychain pieces
* other simple sensory add-ons

I’m still figuring out what actually works and what would feel good to use day-to-day, but I’m curious…
