Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026, Chicago, Illinois: Rev. Jesse Jackson, a trailblazing civil rights icon, has passed away. He leaves behind a legacy of hope and resilience. Jackson’s family confirmed his passing in a heartfelt statement posted on his website and social media accounts on Tuesday. He was 84.
