Pro-Vida Womb to Grave When people think of pro-life they tend to think the movement is simply anti-abortion.

But being pro-life is so much more than that, it is protecting and honoring life from the womb to the grave.

For generations, Job’s wife has been remembered for one sentence spoken in the darkest moment of her life.

But before we judge her words, perhaps we should consider what she had lost.

She was not merely Job’s wife.

She was a grieving mother.

And perhaps her story feels familiar—not because our losses are the same, but because our own grief has sometimes been misunderstood, judged, or reduced to what we said or did in our darkest moments.

The Grieving Mother Everyone Loves to Hate and its companion journal invite us to look again—not only at her grief, but at our own, and at what happens when grief and faith collide.

Available now on Amazon and at Pro-Vida.co.

They’re here!! 🥹❤️

My new Pro-Vida business cards finally arrived!

If you’ve known me for a while, you’ve probably been hearing about Pro-Vida for… well… a long time. 😄 It’s been living in my heart long before it ever became a website, books, shirts, or anything else.

If you’re just finding me, welcome! I’m so excited you’re here.

Over the next little while, I’ll be sharing more about what Pro-Vida is all about because it’s so much more than a business.

It’s a vision.

A vision built on the belief that every life has value. Every story matters. From the womb to the grave.

Whether it’s through books, apparel, or creative experiences, my hope is that everything I create points people toward hope, purpose, healing, and meaningful conversations.

Holding these cards in my hand makes it all feel a little more real. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who’s encouraged me, prayed for me, supported me, and believed in this dream along the way. I truly can’t wait to share what’s next!

So… who wants a business card? 😁❤️

After months of dreaming, creating, writing, designing, and praying…

Pro-Vida.co is LIVE! 🎉

This has been so much more than launching a website.

Pro-Vida was born from the belief that every life has value, every story matters, and every person is created with purpose. From the womb to the grave, everything we create is designed to speak life, inspire hope, and point people toward truth.

Inside you’ll find:

📚 Pro-Vida Press — Faith-filled books for children and adults that encourage, challenge, and inspire.

👕 Pro-Vida Apparel — Conversation-starting apparel created to reflect faith, purpose, and the value of every life.

🎨 Intentional Brush Experiences — Creative art experiences that foster reflection, healing, connection, and purposeful creativity.

This is only the beginning. More books, journals, apparel, and experiences are already on the way, and I can’t wait to share them with you!

Thank you to everyone who has encouraged me, prayed for me, shared ideas, and supported this vision. Your encouragement has meant more than words can express.

I’d love for you to visit the store, look around, and let me know what you think!

I was recently called a “soft parent.”

It was not intended as a compliment.

The implication was that I wasn’t parenting correctly.

And you know what?

They’re right.

I am a soft parent.

Because when you’re raising children who have experienced trauma, they need a soft place to land.

They need a gentle reminder that they are loved, even when they push boundaries.

They need to know that mistakes don’t make them unlovable.

Now don’t misunderstand me.

Soft does not mean permissive.

My children have boundaries.
My children have rules.
My children receive correction.

But correction does not always have to be harsh.

Respect can be taught respectfully.

Discipline can be given with dignity.

Boundaries can be enforced with compassion.

Children who have spent years hearing that they are bad do not need another person to convince them of it.

They need someone willing to show them that they are loved enough to be guided, corrected, and protected.

So yes.

I am a soft parent.

Because children who have lived through hard things often need a soft place to heal.

Child welfare should never be about the adults.

Not the biological parents.
Not the foster parents.
Not the adoptive parents.
Not the caseworkers.
Not the attorneys.
Not the judges.

Child welfare should be about the welfare of the literal child.

Every child should be seen as an individual human being with individual needs, fears, attachments, relationships, and experiences.

They are not case plans.
They are not statistics.
They are not checklists.

Too often we become so focused on checking boxes that we forget there is a child living inside the outcome of every decision we make.

A child who loves.
A child who grieves.
A child who forms attachments.
A child who feels safe in some places and afraid in others.

The question should never be, “Did we complete the process?”

The question should be, “Did we truly consider what was best for this child?”

Because child welfare should be about children.

Not adults.

Children.

Today, as it does most days, my heart is greatly missing the little one who came to me just a few days old and stayed for 16 months.

The one I held while her tiny body trembled.
The one who took her first steps into my arms.
The one who called me Mama.

And I find myself wondering if she remembers how deeply she was loved. I wonder if she ever thinks about us and misses us too.

More than anything, I wish we had been allowed to remain in her life.

She did not understand that my home was “supposed to be temporary.” She did not understand policies, systems, or adult decisions.

All she knew was that one day she was removed from the home where she felt safe and loved and sent to live with people she had only met once before because they shared her Native culture.

And culture does matter. Heritage matters. Identity matters. But attachment matters too. Safety matters too. Love matters too.

Children experience grief even when adults believe they are making the right decision. And sometimes I think we minimize that grief because acknowledging it makes people uncomfortable.

But her grief mattered.
And so did our love for her.

I find myself wanting to cry whenever I think about my son’s bio mom.

He is such an amazing little boy, and I can’t help but believe she must be amazing too because he is a part of her. Somewhere along the way, something may have convinced her otherwise. Somewhere lies may have settled in and told her she wasn’t enough… that she couldn’t do this.

But if I could say anything, it would be this:

I pray that one day you see yourself as what I see reflected in your son… because that amazing person is still there.

Life may not look possible right now. Pain, mistakes, trauma, and brokenness do not erase your worth. They do not erase who you are.

The amazing person is still there. Always was. ❤️

Children do not enter foster care because they have done something wrong.

And they do not act out because they are “bad kids.”

Sometimes we see behaviors that look messy, confusing, overwhelming, or “out of place,” and we assume the child is the problem.

But what if we looked deeper?

Children who have experienced trauma are often carrying pieces they never should have had to carry. Their nervous systems have been affected. Their brains and bodies learned how to survive in environments that were not always safe.

We call them resilient children — but resilience does not always look neat and put together.

Sometimes resilience looks like a child doing the best they can with pieces of a story they did not choose.

Children are not the problem.
They are children trying to heal.

As foster parents, we know the phrase trauma-informed parenting very well. We understand that children entering our homes often come with trauma, and recognizing that is important.

But even more important is understanding that trauma is part of their history — it is not their identity.

Children are more than what happened to them. They are more than case files, diagnoses, behaviors, or hard beginnings.

They need to be reminded that they are amazing.
That they are valuable.
That they deserve respect.
That they deserve love.

Because many have experienced things that told them otherwise.

Trauma may be part of their story, but it does not get to define who they are.
