In 1998 everybody said a website was a waste of money. The ones who built one
anyway ate everybody else’s lunch for ten years.

In 2011 everybody ignored the Google listing. Then it quietly became the only
thing a customer looked at before calling.

Neither group got lucky. They moved first.

This is the third one, and it’s moving faster than both. Somebody is typing your
trade and your city into ChatGPT right now and reading a paragraph about your
business that you have never read.

It doesn’t matter what you think about AI. Your customers are already using it
to decide who to call.

Five years from now this will be as obvious as having a website. Right now it’s
still a head start.
