Congrats! You finished writing your story…now what?

This is the part that oftentimes gets overlooked. You spend months, or even years, writing your work of art, which means everything to you. And now suddenly, you’re expected to know how to market yourself?

✔️Build a platform.
✔️Show up online.
✔️Engage with your audience.
✔️Be “consistent.”

Yeah, we know. It can be a lot. Here’s some hand-holding: You don’t need to have it all figured out; you just need to start showing up intentionally.

If you’re in that in-between phase right now… we see you.

Staying consistent might be the most underrated marketing tool writers have.

Almost always, I’m thinking about coffee, so I grabbed some Starbucks before running errands. Every year, they release new drinks. That day, I was craving the peppermint mocha latte. It’s truly a fan favorite. Some people even go so far as to collect them.

Could you imagine if Starbucks skipped a year?

People would notice. Immediately.

That’s the power of consistency in brand storytelling. The same applies to writers and creators online. If you show up every once in a while, your audience will forget you. When you’re consistent with your posts, especially when sharing parts of your writing journey, your story becomes a bigger narrative.
THAT’S where engagement starts to grow!

If you’re a writer trying to build an audience, think about your story, your voice, and what you want to share online with your target audience. Remember to stay focused, consistent, and relevant!

In a fast-growing digital world, that’s the key to staying sticky.

Your book isn’t for everyone.

That's a GOOD thing.

Last week, I walked into a yoga class expecting a relaxing stretch. Instead, I walked into a hot room full of yoga blocks and confusion. Turns out the class description was wrong.

Marketing a book can feel the same way.

Many authors believe their story is meant for everyone. But the truth is, the most successful books find their specific audience.

That’s where market segmentation becomes powerful.

When you understand who your readers really are, marketing becomes clearer, easier, and far more effective.

Your story doesn’t need everyone. It just needs the right readers.
