Since having a holiday-ish baby (6.5 hours shy of a major holiday), it’s been a goal of mine to create themed birthday invitations that blend both the holiday and the stylish feel of a birthday party. I stayed up way too late creating these, but it was totally worth it!☘️

I’m not going to lie... having a baby girl gives me all the feels for so many reasons. Making her playroom decorations with all the pink hues is top 10. I can’t wait to do these things with her.

What started out as a search for DIY Valentine’s Day decor morphed into making rainbows, pompom garland and floral arrangements. These rainbows were a genius idea .erikson shared and I’m amazed at how simple they are to make! (She has the tutorial in her stories.)

Also, pompoms are addicting and I can’t stop. No regrets. 😍

It's so easy to be thankful on the inside. To have the feels and never verbalize it because you are just taking it all in. I'm guilty. 🙋🏼‍♀️⠀⠀

But, being that words of affirmation are a big deal in this house, I created some thankful for cards to help you reflect on your blessings. These can serve as placards at the dinner table and be kept to reminisce on the next year. I love looking back and remembering what was on my mind that season. ⠀⠀

This year, I'm so thankful to be celebrating our first Thanksgiving as a family of three! I’m so excited to show Rowan all of our traditions and start brand new ones. ⠀

It’s been 3 months with her. ❤️

To be completely transparent, I was afraid of being a mom for years. I never felt I’d be good at it and I didn’t think I was maternal. Even during labor, I worried if I’d have the proper emotional reaction that most moms have upon meeting their baby (....I ugly cried). I worried about so many things because the perfectionist in me wanted the best for her.

Those worries haven’t stopped, but I can tell you I am very much maternal and very much in love with this mom thing. I’m also so down for this motherhood tribe I have around me... they lift me up and encourage me daily and I’m so thankful that I get to do life with them and we can raise our babies together.

Excuse me while I pull it together because it’s Monday and I need to pace myself on all the feels. 🤣

Happy first day of Fall! 🍁🍂⠀

Bring on the cool temps, oversized sweaters and caramel apples. Hold the pumpkin spice latte’s though ✋🏼 (yes, I’m a PSL hater).⠀

I’ve spent the past 2.5 months hibernating with my sweet newborn and I’m so ready to venture out and show Rowan all of our favorite Fall traditions. The top of the list is taking her to pick out her first pumpkin at the farm. I didn’t think it was possible to love the holiday season any more, but seeing life through your children’s eyes is so magical. ⠀

Every year on 9/11 I watch a documentary about the awful events that occurred that day. It’s hard to watch, even 18 years later, but it helps me to pause and remember the thousands of lives lost. I still can’t fathom the hatred that would drive someone to do something so evil.

Halloween is not my favorite holiday, but it’s included in my favorite season and will always hold a special place in my design life. Years ago, I opened my shop with 5 Halloween designs just for fun and I’ve had a lot of fun creating ever since. I try not to decorate for it until October 1, but this year I am SO excited to celebrate Rowan’s first Halloween. I may have already started hunting for a costume...⠀

Excuse me while I’m up in my feels looking at all the things going in Rowan’s baby book. I’m super sentimental and known to keep all the mementos from just about any major life event... and this past month has been no different. ⠀

We are in love with ’s baby book and have begun filling it with our story, the moment we found out we were expecting our sweet girl after a long wait, and her birth story. What a story it is and I can’t wait to share it with her some day. 💕

What an incredible journey this has been and the only word I can use to describe it is JOY. ⠀
⠀

It's been a joy to be pregnant after 3 long years. It's been a joy feeling her every move. It's been a joy watching my husband grow into his new role as a dad so gracefully. It's been a joy to be celebrated. It's been a joy to join the mommy club. ⠀
⠀
It's also been a joy to be swollen and uncomfortable because it was proof I was working hard at growing a life. It's been a joy to be anxious about the unknown, because it allowed me to rely on God. It's been a joy feeling all of the emotions, because it forced me to choose fact over fiction. ⠀
⠀
It's been a joy baby girl. I'm ready when you are.
