Did you know September is National Service Dog Month? 🐶💙

Every Canine Companions service dog starts out as a wiggly puppy living with a volunteer raiser for about a year and a half. Then they head to professional training, where they learn up to 45 tasks, like opening doors, picking up dropped keys, or alerting their partner to important sounds.

The best part? These amazing dogs are given to people with disabilities completely free.

There's a lot to explore this month: a live Puppy Cam, fun quizzes, a free activity kit with coloring pages and puzzles (great for kids!), and ways to volunteer or sponsor a puppy. Check it out 👇
