My heart is so full after celebrating the graduation of the Mexicana Emprende program at the Mexican Consulate. 🤍

It was an honor to once again teach the marketing session and witness these incredible Mexican women grow in confidence as they pursued their business dreams.

One of the most meaningful moments for me was sponsoring one of the winning entrepreneurs through Mels Creative LLC. I can’t wait to support her as she continues building her business.

As a Mexican entrepreneur myself, seeing women choose courage, persevere through obstacles, and believe in their ideas is so inspiring. Congratulations to every Mexicana!🇲🇽

Little Melissa would have never believed this.

She was scared. She was insecure. She was trying to find her place in a country that felt so unfamiliar. If you had told her that one day she’d stand in front of rooms full of entrepreneurs, teaching marketing, encouraging others to believe in their dreams, and receiving an award from the Mexican Consulate... she probably would’ve smiled politely and thought, ”Not me.”

But God had a different story to write.

This weekend, I had the honor of receiving an award from the Mexican Consulate in Milwaukee for my work as a marketing educator and sponsor of Mexicana Emprende. Every year, I have the privilege of teaching marketing workshops and sponsoring one incredible entrepreneur with a brand identity for her business.

This award means so much to me—not because it’s recognition, but because it’s a reminder that our past doesn’t get the final say. The things that once made us feel small don’t have to define where we end up.

To the woman who’s still doubting herself: your story isn’t over. Keep showing up. Keep learning. Keep trusting God with the parts of your life that don’t make sense yet.

You never know who you’re becoming while you’re simply trying to make it through.

Thank you to every woman who has believed in me and poured on to me. 🤍
