What a night! ✨

Still overflowing with gratitude from last week’s Queens Ball Gala. Together, we raised over $100K (and counting!) to support housing, STEAM programs, and essential services for families across Queens.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, gave, and celebrated with purpose. If you weren’t able to give during the gala, or if you feel moved to continue supporting our work, contributions are still welcome and deeply appreciated (Link in Bio)

The work continues!

Honoring a Legacy of Black Excellence ✨🎭

Founded in 1976, The Afrikan Poetry Theatre has been a cultural pillar in Queens, providing a creative space for Black artists, poets, and musicians to share their voices. Despite challenges, including a fire in 2018, this historic venue remains a beacon of empowerment and artistic expression.

From its humble beginnings to its impact today, the theatre stands as a testament to the power of Black leadership in preserving culture and fostering growth.
