Will a super AI be the last invention/innovation man creates?
Scenario 1: Yes, itâs the last human invention.
A superintelligence designs better batteries, cures diseases, discovers new physics, invents new materials, writes software, designs spacecraft, and even improves itself. Humans become more like people defining goals than people creating solutions.
The sequence becomes:
Humans invent AGI.
AGI invents ASI.
ASI invents everything else.
In that sense, the last invention attributable primarily to humanity is the machine that surpassed us.
Scenario 2: No, because intelligence isnât the bottleneck.
Innovation isnât just thinking. It also requires:
deciding what problems matter
setting values and priorities
gathering real-world data
experimenting
building physical infrastructure
and accepting risk
Even a superintelligence canât invent a new bridge without materials or test a new drug without experiments. Humans, or human institutions - could remain essential partners.
